Hawkeye, new Marvel show on Disney+

I thought it was an implied romance as well. He was the one in the earlier episode who knew ASL. The two confided in each other, it seemed like more than a friendship.

No, “Uncle” was Kingpin.

I was surprised it burned at all, considering it had survived the apartment fire unscathed.

Not to mention the destruction of the Avengers compound.

I agree with almost all of your points… I think overall I liked the show and actually enjoyed this finale even acknowledging how dumb some of it was. But the previous two episodes were…bad… yeah… bad.

What bugs me the most is… Maya was 100% unnecessary to everything that happened. Part of me believes they had already started filming the show when Florence Pugh agreed to do it… so they had to hastily work her in and that meant the “revenge on Clint for dead family member” plot when to her…and Maya became useless.

Yeah, that’s what I thought too. Didn’t realize that it was Uncle Wilson. Good to know.

I thought that was going to be a punchline. They watch it smolder for a while and then Hawkeye throws it in a woodchipper or something.

I will say, I enjoyed very much Kazi’s determined incompetence at literally everything. Ambushed and bullied in his own car. Twice placed as a sniper and never successfully shot anyone. Started fistfight with Clint and literally got WWE suplexed. Got the drop on Clint AGAIN and couldn’t kill him. Started a fistfight with Maya, who did not want to kill him, and somehow managed to stab himself. This Bud’s for you, Kazi.

Real man of genius.

In the big fight scene on ice, was the owl that flew off with the “mini” van of any significance?

Other than the clear implication that the miniaturized people in the van were going to be eaten alive by a wild animal, and Clint and Kate just kind of shrugged it off, and the show just played that truly horrifying scene as a joke? No, no particular significance.

[Seriously, though, it was probably an in-joke that only New Yorkers would have been likely to catch, and that I only know about thanks to the magic of the internets - last year an owl was found in the Rockefeller Plaza Christmas Tree as it was being decorated, having apparently been perching in it when it was cut down in upstate New York and just hanging on all the way to NYC. That, and a random bird swooping in and flying away with something is/was a meme/trendy visual gag].

A third possibility besides alive or dead is blinded. Per comments I have read elsewhere, Maya shoots Kingpin in the head in the comics, causing brain damage that leaves him temporarily blind.

I think Marvel’s kind of drunk with power sometimes. They hire these great actors just because they can and then give them squat to do bc they know that “Marvel means money.”

It’s this little fellah.

Cool, thanks

It’s at least as significant as the dog I thought was Odin.

So, I guess, not much?

Dogdin? Right there with Lokigator and Frog Thor!

Oh my god, you’re right. I may have stumbled upon their next TV series.

I thought being miniaturized was fatal anyway if you don’t have an Ant-Man suit?

Not fatal as I recall, but repeated exposure to Pym Particles without protection makes you go crazy (Darren Cross/Yellowjacket in the first one).
