I play Post Mahomes this week, in what feels like my 8th straight game against a top team. (I apparently played Omni in week 2 so I did have one layup.) After this week I don’t play another team with a winning record until the final game when I have to see Wilson again. I’ll also be getting Chris Godwin and Brandon Aiyuk back soon.
I was super frustrated about my record versus my points scored for a while. Aside from that and my inability to find a reliable TE it’s all coming up roses.

This format always throws up outliers like that, but @motu having a losing record with the third most points is particularly unusual, I think.
Since we have a bye week for the first 2 seeds, placement among the playoff teams matters.
I have a currently league-leading 1349 points in third seed. Wilson, in the 2 seed, has the 11th most points at 1085 and will earn a first round bye if he wins next week.
Edit: Slightly unfair comparison since he still has players yet to play this week and I don’t. But I don’t think they’re going to make up the 300 point gap
After starting out 3-5 I’ve somehow managed to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
5 clinchers and only 1 playoff spot up for grabs is a little surprising.
I would certainly like that first round bye. I need to win and have Wilson lose.
I think the points are close enough that the 2nd seed is up for grabs for everyone.

I thought head to head was the first tiebreaker.
I don’t think so. Yahoo used to have a nice tiebreaker page that explained the difference between divisional and non-divisional leagues but now it just has this with less explanation. But if “wildcard” rules apply to regular non-divisional leagues, then it’s points scored and head to head record doesn’t appear on the list.
Which makes sense – if you had 3 players contending for the last playoff spot and all 3 won, how would you figure out who wins based on head to head matchups? Whereas figuring out who has the highest total score is easy.
Well it’s looking like I won’t get in for a first week bye, but top score two seasons in a row is pretty impressive I think.
Well the playoff brackets are set. Motu beat Weirddave last week, getting in to the top bracket. That means the top five scoring teams are in the championship bracket, along with the 10th highest (me).
The top four scorers all play this week - Motu vs SenorBeef, and RNATB vs AlsoNamedBort. Frosted_Glass and I await the winners.
