He Hate Me FF Keeper League – Year 11

Shit, the trade still hasn’t gone through. We’re you counting on any of the players?

RNATB - we’re you counting on any of the players in the trade? I thought it was going through today. The yahoo note said it’d have already gone through.

Even though Lamar Miller and Cameron Jordan haven’t really been useful to me, I started the season 2-4 and after that big trade I won 5 out of 6 games, taking me to 7-5. Which is quite a big comeback, but the 4/14 playoff structure didn’t leave enough room. All 3 8-3 teams won this week, practically sealing up the playoffs. There are some tiebreaker loss scenarios if Varlos or Jules win two and Hamlet, RNATB, or weirddave lose two, but most likely we have our playoffs fairly set with two weeks to go.

Does anyone mind if I retro-start the St, Louis DEF for this week? Seattle’s on a bye, so I picked up the Rams off waivers, but before the claim was processed I had to go out of town and internet spottiness made it difficult to update rosters.

It won’t affect the outcome of my game, but the points might matter later, and I clearly intended to start St. Louis instead of nobody.

Oops. Never noticed this post. I don’t think I was planning to start any of them.

Jules could still come back and win his game, so he’d still only be one game out of the playoffs. Dave and Hamlet play each other in the last week of the regular season so he’s guaranteed to make up a game on one of them.

Hell, I could still lose my game this week, too. 15 points from a kicker is not an impossible ask, especially against Washington.

No complaints here.

I’m the person most impacted by this as it currently stands, so I’ll abstain. I’ll only say that there is no difference between impacting your game and impacting tie breakers - those are the same thing.

No, total points is a separate tie breaker.

Why would anyone care if the outcome of a game IS changed, then? The answer is obviously because it could impact the playoff picture. Retroactively adding points to a score impacts the playoff picture too, just in a slightly different way. We play head-to-head because that’s how winners are determined for the playoffs. We use total points as a tie-breaker because that’s how winners are determined for the playoffs. Six of one, half dozen of another.

Ah, I see your point.

I’m forgiving in my leagues of situational problems like that, and in my leagues I allow people to clearly state their intentions if they fear they will have a technical issue with a late decision. In this case Varlos didn’t state an intention, but circumstances point to the intentions being obvious, so I wouldn’t object to it.

Sonofabitch. Omni is now beating me by 0.04.

Yeah, I don’t mean to paint myself as purely a victim of circumstance – it wouldn’t have been *impossible *to update my rosters or anything. But as it happened the 4G connection on my phone (or possibly just the Yahoo fantasy app) crapped out when I went to do my Sunday morning roster check.

It’s an interesting question. I don’t know that it should affect the decision, but I don’t know that it *shouldn’t *affect the decision, either. And it certainly *feels *different than if those 16 points provided the margin; in that case I don’t think I would have even brought it up.

Considering I’ve won games by 2.6 and 4.26 this season, I guess I can’t complain about close losses - but 0.04 points? Come on, man.

I did lose week 1 by 2.57, so I’m now 2-2 in sub-5 point games.

I just realized Omni was starting more or less the entire Chiefs offense. Figures that I get him in the one week where they all did something.

I am getting fucked so hard by Alex Henery right now. On the other hand, I also have Nick Foles, so I at least got a fourth down rushing TD.

It looks like I’m going to lose this week (though that’s not a given) - so Varlos, Hamlet and I will be tied for the final playoff spot. Is total points the first tiebreaker? 'cause if so, the three-peat is over. :frowning:

Just eked into the playoffs as the #4 seed. Whew. Third in total points, though, which is nice.

I also like the #4 seed better than the #2 seed, because I don’t want to face VarlosZ, which has two straight weeks of 150+ scoring.

Instead, I get to face Weirddave, who has beaten me twice this year already. In week one he beat me by .07 points. Yes, that is 7/100th of a point. Not that I carry a grudge.

Now I have to decide Rivers v. Stafford, who my #2 WR will be, and how the fuck I replace Gronkowski for the playoffs. Grrr.

Good Luck everyone.

The three-peat is, indeed, over. I guess I’ll just have to live with the stigma of being a back-to-back champion. I can’t really complain, given that I scored fewer points than all the playoff teams, but that 0.04 point loss to Omni really stings now (notwithstanding the 0.7 point win I got the following week).

I’ll be rooting for you and Wilson, Hamlet; Varlos and Dave have won before.

My team is falling apart at the wrong time… Welker is definitely out and AP is extremely questionable. Right now I’m down to Daniel Thomas at flex. I’m praying for Rashard Jennings to stay healthly to give me at least a somewhat reasonable lineup.

Gah. I didn’t make the playoffs and I just realized I don’t even have a viable keeper. It’s going to be hard to justify a second round grade for Gio Bernard unless the Bengals dump BJGE.
