I’ll probably be keeping Dak, Kelvin and Marty
Just to be clear, I withdrew my 3-year keeper suggestion due to a misunderstanding of terms. What I was positing is apparently the status quo.
Unless, of course, someone wants to resurrect it to increase the max time of ownership to 4 years total (including the initial season the player was drafted).
Yeah, you mentione that earlier. I was actually going to create a poll but they appear to have stripped the poll option from the message boards in the league this year and I have no idea why.
I wouldn’t mind changing the rule to 3 keeps, but I don’t know if anyone really feels strongly about it in any direction. It’d probably have to only apply to keepers going forward just to be fair, as much as I’d like to be able to keep David Johnson a 3rd time.
Aw, crap.
We’ve had a few people in various leagues not check in yet. I started a recruiting thread listing the vacancies. I’m going to give everyone a little while longer to check in, but I’ll have to start replacing people soon. If you’re interested in picking up another league, you can share your interest in one of those.
Hamlet, don’t forget to take your spot in the league.
Otherwise we’re waiting on Otto. He hasn’t been around in a long time on the boards. Is that normal for him?
I’ve got some offers for Pryor and Bryant which I’m still considering, but I’m starting to lean towards keeping Pryor and selling Bryant. He’s yahoo’s 49th ranked prospect, and since we’re probably keeping 12 of the top 50 guys, he’d be the 37th ranked draftable guy or so, a 3rd rounder. So it seems reasonable to ask for something like a 6th rounder for him. Your 6th for my 16th (or maybe a bit higher, I can be flexible) then you’d keep him in the 13th. So you’d essentially be moving down 10 rounds from the 6th round to keep someone with third round value in the 13th round. And the 11th round next year after that. That actually seems like a steal to me, but this league isn’t a very active trading league so who knows if anyone will jump on it. I’ll consider other proposals.
Oh, re-reading this I realize I didn’t make it clear. The list there was the rounds they were taken in last year - you would have to subtract 2 rounds to keep them. So Nelson would be a 4th rounder, Ware a 5th, Adams a 12th.
Sorry about any confusion.
I’ll give you my 6th-rounder for your 10th, and swap picks of you in any three rounds of your choosing other than the first. We’re only one spot apart but I’ll let you pick the rounds during the course of the draft, so you can scoop me on three players.
I’ll still keep them.
Now I’m off to see if Joe Montana is still playing football…
I invited D_Odds to join our league since he expressed interest and has a reliable history as a fantasy player, replacing Ottoerotic. Ottoerotic hasn’t been on the boards in over a year, hasn’t responded to e-mails, and has shown no indication that he’ll be playing this year. I know our draft isn’t for a while yet, but the problem is, if I wait until the last minute for him then other players who might’ve been interested in the spot may have commited to other leagues by then instead. I think Aug 26 is plenty of time to have given.
If Otto happens to show up, he’d have first dibs on replacing someone next year if anyone leaves.
Welcome aboard, D_Odds.
This is not that pretty a team I’m left with. Time to get to work.
Ummmmm. I don’t think I’ll be keeping Ware now.that he doesn’t have a PCL. I’m considering Wright, but I’m not sure.
I will be keeping Carr in 8 and White in 11 - proving that I don’t know when to abandon a bad idea.
I’m going with these keepers:
DeMarco Murray as my 1st rounder
Cam Newton in the 5th
and Matt Ryan in the 9th
When you pick your keepers, announce them to the thread but also enter them into the league just so we’re totally clear. You can do that by going to your team view, then the keepers tab, and then checking which guys you plan to keep.
I’m keeping:
Michael Thomas - WR, NO in the 6th
Charcandrick West - RB, KC in the 12th
Jay Cutler - QB, MIA in the 13th
Because fuck it.
I’m keeping Isaiah Crowell in the 4th, Jameis Winston in the 7th, and Eric Ebron in the 13th.
Summarizing, I’m keeping:
Doug Baldwin (8th round),
Pierre Garcon (9th round), and
Jimmy Graham (10th round).
Beef, did you see this offer?
