He Hate Me FF keeper league - yr 7

If I get the chance to take it back, I will. I really don’t want to get special privilege because I’m an idiot though.

You’re not getting special privileges. You’re getting ‘special’ privileges.

Royal and Flacco it is.

Jules, consider Gonzo out. I would ask if you wanted to keep someone else in Gonzo’s place but you hadn’t used all your slots anyway so I assume Bowe is the only one you want, yes?

I’ve been super unmotivated to log the last-minute trades and post the keeper list this week. Part of the reason is that I need a couple hours worth of work to bring the draft utility up to speed, and I kinda really need it to avoid the offseason problems we had this year.

A couple hours worth isn’t normally a big deal but so far this week I had two fantasy drafts to occupy my FF time. I’ll get it done, but thought I should explain the procrastinating.

Thanks. I don’t have another keeper, Bowe is it.

I didn’t notice any offseason problems…

Well there goes the plan to send you a case of beer and a fruit basket as a thank-you gift.

See how the 2007 season ended here. Compare to how the 2008 season ended starting here and continuing through the remainder of that thread, plus the first 15 posts of this thread.

Notice the dates on those posts as well. I normally post the season round-up in late January, complete with eligible keeper lists. Last season got no round-up at all, and I didn’t even get to the eligible keeper lists until the end of July, long after the Add/Drop history was erased. Meaning this year we didn’t technically require that your eligible keepers never hit the waiver wire, which is a bit of a downer.

Here’s a weird offer:

If anyone is going to miss the draft tonight, but doesn’t want to be stuck with a mediocre autodraft team, I’ll draft for them (if this is allowable). I’m so hooked on fantasy football that I’d like to do even more drafts (but I don’t want to end up managing a ton of teams all season). I think some people around here will vouch for me in that I’m a pretty good drafter.

You could temporarily set your yahoo password to something new, PM it to me, and then change it back later. If you’re uncomfortable with that idea I might be able to join the league (temporarily) under my second yahoo account, draft, and then have the results transferred to your team - but that’s probably a hassle with the commish, possibly breaking the draft order/keepers and all that. So the former method is vastly preferable.

Temporary password is the way to go. I can vouch that Beef would be a solid drafter in this league, seeing as how in love he is with RBs. heh. Sadly, I’m betting anyone who can’t make tonight’s draft is already afk.

As for my blatant procrastinating, I need to hop in the shower now before heading out to family fun this afternoon, then I’ll try to get everything squared away before hopefully getting in a quick nap. Waking up at 5am was less than ideal for our 10:15pm draft tonight.

sigh

I’m in love with value, and it worked out that the value was in RB in the all-pro league. In the auction league I may have spent the least on RB out of anyone.

How does the comanager option work for the draft? That might work.

It might be a bit weird having Beef draft for people. Not that I don’t trust him, but if knows he’s taking Guy X with pick whatever on his own team it’s bound to affect what he does with the other team (and vice versa).

Never tried it, so I don’t know if that would work.

I’m not in this league.

Edit: When I said I’d use my other yahoo account, I guess that gave the impression that I’d be using 2 accounts at once. No, I was just adding unnecesary information - I can’t use my primary yahoo account because it’s already at the 4 league maximum.

Oh, duh.

Never mind then.

Here’s the complete transaction log for all trades, including the last minute deals I never processed from last week. All trades listed here have been entered into the yahoo league, so it will be automatic during tonight’s live draft.

We’re keeping 12 of the yahoo top 41 ranked players. Banner year for keepers.

I have no idea if that’s typical (I would guess yes, but your statement alone testifies to no), but it sure looks bleak for people who don’t already have a first rounder kept. It’ll be interesting to see (for me, being new) how the season plays out for people who don’t have 2 or 3 1st round caliber players. Lots of talent taken out of the draft pool already.

Typically the top flight talent gets taken initially in the first three rounds, meaning they aren’t eligible for keeping. Most of the keepers end up being something like 4th round talent in the 8th or 9th round talent in the 13th.

A couple quick reminders:

This is a 3-RB league, so draft accordingly. Well, 2 RBs and one RB/WR flex, but same difference.

Keeper picks get skipped in the draft, so the rounds go quicker than they normally would. Be sure to check how many picks until your next selection before going afk.
