We’re going to have to do recruitment for this league to pick up the extra 2 players. We could run at 12 if necessary, and it’s not a huge deal, but the league has been 14 from the inception and I think it’s better to keep it that way. Does anyone remember anyone from previous threads that showed an interest in joining our league, or know anyone who might be interested?
Draft set for Tuesday the 7th, 8:45 pm eastern.
I don’t remember anyone who expressed interest… I think there is still at least one other league going on the SDMB? Dynasty? Can someone who is in that league ask around?
I can start a new thread as well.
Just signed back up. Didn’t realize that I needed to manually accept the invite, figured it was automatic or something, I’ll try to sit down after this weekend and figure out my keepers.
I’ll keep Ben Roethlisberger (6th place, 4th round) and Cole Beasley (15th place, 13th round)

Dave posted a message in the league forums saying he has a friend that might want to play in our league if we don’t mind recruiting from off-board. I told him that’s fine with me as long his friend will stick with and manage his team all year. He also wanted to know if new players inherited old teams’ keepers, and I’m pretty sure we do play it that way. It makes sense.
His friend grabbing one of those slots is fine with me, but I’m not commish or anything anymore, I just thought I’d relay his message. We haven’t really tried to recruit yet (by posting a game room thread on the opening for example), but we could give it a try to see if we can land active board users first.
I went ahead and posted a recruitment thread here Recruiting 1-2 players for the He Hate Me Fantasy Football League (19 years running) and told people to post here if they’re interested in playing in this league this year.
I’m definitely interested in joining if you all are still in need of players. I’m available for the draft and I’ve played in a keeper league before. Just let me know what you need from me. Thanks!

Correction: I will be keeping Tre’Quan Smith in round 14, not round 9. I will keep Josh Allen in round 9 and Chase Edmonds in round 5.n
Dave’s friend and Frosted Glass will get the invites tomorrow - so that will get us all set.
I’ll be compiling the keepers over the next few days - I’m sure most everyone knows the rules, but I’ll do a double check before Friday.
Just checking in to make sure we are still on track to have our draft on Tuesday and that we have the full compliment of 13 other people who are OK with me kicking their ass.
And, although it should be obvious, I will no longer be keeping JK Dobbins in the 2nd round. I will, however, keep Keenan Allen for a third round pick.
So I assume we’re going to give the eligible keepers of the leaving players to the new players, but how do we assign each of the old teams? I can’t remember how we did this in the past. I guess first to join gets first choice, maybe? Or perhaps they alternate - combine the potential keepers of both teams that left, then let one of the new owners pick a keeper from the group, and then the second owner gets to pick a keeper. In that case, ABBAABBA is probably more fair, since having the 2nd and 3rd choice makes somewhat for the other guy having the best choice.
Or I guess we can have them start as a blank slate.
In the past, they’ve just taken over a team.
So…anyone interested in getting rid of kickers this year? Or starting next year? They’re terrible.
