Head in the clouds MMP

Howdy Y’all! All deheathenated and have had N.O.L. Now I’m in my comfies and chillin’. OYKW has gone to his place to deal with some paperirk, poor thing. He will be back later this afternoon, so, yay for that!

I foresee nappage in the near future. Also, there’s a new restaurant/bar opened up near da cave. We shall go and try it out for dindin. Since that means I shall have an adventure later, I believe that calls for nappage so I may store up energy.

While most bears hibernate only in the winter, the rare **swampbear **variety hibernates in shorter segments the year round.

I’m Marty Stouffer and this is your Wild America.

Rare as in unusual or rare as in the opposite of ‘well done’? With our swampy, I’m pretty sure it’s the latter. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just closed up the house an turned on the air, alas!!

We’re just back from running around on various errands, ending with lunch at DQ. **FCD **is talking about taking a nap and I think I’m going to find something on Netflix while I crochet. Nice, relaxing afternoon.

Mid day Blurf. I bathed Lucky Louie and changed the sheets on the bed and took a shower. That has been the extent of my productivity thus far today. I think I feel a nap coming on.

The rare ( as in unusual but not well-done) swampbear arises from his short hibernation period. :stuck_out_tongue:

So, I achieved nappage and then sat out on the back porch sippin’ on iced tea whilst enjoyin’ a nice almost hour long rain. ‘Tis cloudy out (duh!) and the weather PTB say we shall have tstorms this evenin’. OYKW will be back here in just a bit and we shall have an early dindin at the new restaurant. Meanwhile, I have two steaks thawin’ that I shall marinate for tomorrow night. 'Twill be men’s night over to the church house. Always a good time.

Life at da cave is good.

It’s been a gloriously lazy afternoon. Higgs has been fed. I’ve been crocheting. I think I’ll have some watermelon.

Life is good!

The new restaurant/bar place near da cave is pretty good! I hope the place makes it. The owners will have to depend on folks wantin’ to drive out this way. This area is somewhat residential but I think they will need to have people other than the ones that live out here to make it successful. Anywho, the food is really good and the prices are reasonable. We’ll definitely patronize it more.

Thus is the news from swampland.

I forgot to mention somethin’. This mornin’ when I was the reading kind of Lector, I read a passage from Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians. I showed great restraint. When I got to the part that read “do not get drunk with wine for that is debauchery” I did not add, “but apparently beer and liquor are OK.” I’m sure YP was proud of me for holdin’ back.

You are indeed a Saint.

My co-whiskypalians might think I am a tee totalin’ prohibitionist.

Rare weekend at home (only second since July 4th, then away again next weekend, two in Sept, & at least one, if not two in Oct, & two in Nov!) No, flytrap, you can’t have my address!

Dinner at home; the only one in 2+ weeks but you can see why with my schedule. It was spicy lime frimpsh, broccoli w/ balsamic vinegar spritz & French bread w/ butter. Twas nummy. It was originally going to be pasta but as this is the 2nd day of a 7-dayish heat wave I didn’t wanna boil water - too hot.

25 miles on the bike this morning, grocery sto’ & a nap consumed today. I’ve had a lot to drink today (see 25 miles on bike in a heat wave); I figure a gallon of input, but the sad part is none of that was distilled or fermented. :frowning:
I shall now pay some bills & correct my drinking issue.

spidey just remember Paul says it’s OK if it’s not wine.

We shall now retire to the boudoir to watch teevee etc until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Worked came home. Making Easter BBQ sttyke poke chops, with sweet **N.O.Y.**s and a salad with a chipolte vinegrette. Tried something new drinkwise. The Nashville Mariott had cucumber infused water, which I liked. So I made some. With lime. And tequila.

flytrap , I figure swampy is more of a Falcons type of guy.

Moooommm!, now I want watermelon. With tequila(like Saint Paul ,the spirit moves me:D).

Enuff for today. Recline time!

MWAH!

Lots of housestuff done (new hoses on the dehumidifiers and crap like that) and got my stuff ready for work tomorrow. Picked out a special shirt and everything.

We have way more t-shirts than a human should be allowed. You know the saying “been there, done that, got the t-shirt”? Well, in our case that has amounted to 12’ tight packed on hangers and another 55 gallons plus of shirts. My one manager used to nicely pick on me about never wearing the same shirt twice so ---------- when I was leaving I claimed part of the reason was I had gotten back to my original shirt and needed to go shop and travel and get more shirts. So for tomorrow I want to wear my special Diggerland (DIGGERLAND!!! – sorry, I really loved that place) managers shirt to work. Just to let him know I’m ready to work hard again but just as ready to have fun again. I think he will appreciate it.

Happy news is in the offing for the Vunders, but I am sworn to secrecy for the moment. I can keep everyday secrets like they don’t exist, but this one is gnawing at me for the right reasons.

OK, so it’s been announced on Farcebook. The VunderKind and FDiL are formally engaged. : pops 3 buttons off my shirt :

Cool!!! Many rats doing a conga line for you!

: flings confetti with wild abandonment :
