You could try starting one but I would check it past a mod first. Not sure if they want our level of silliness running rampant.
I didn’t really think it was the sort of thing that merited its own thread; that’s why I was hoping for the sports equivalent of the MMP in the Game Room (or Cafe Society, I guess). I’d feel kinda silly creating a thread like that, just to talk about that.
Baby registries suck.
One isn’t even there, not under mommy, daddy, or baby with either name.
I found the other one. I’m going with diapers, you can never go wrong with diapers. She has size1 on her list but I’ll get bigger ones. She’ll need them eventually.
I want a steak and cheese sub. An thick gooey one that drips down your chin when you bite into it. Loaded up with lettuce, tomato, fried onions and mayo with just a touch of hots.
You know how they say that the lotttery is a tax on the stupid? All the lottery people were extra taxed today.:smack: At least there is beer.
Tries? I think I suceed very nicey.
My favorite Snickers commercial.
It’s OK, Fonz, even Da Vinci missed on a few projects. And welcome!
I grew up drinking PBR.
I don’t find a link to your poll, Reluctant A.
Probably for the best, it was kind of ill-conceived: I was talking to my recently remarried best friend earlier this week and, at one point, asked him what he would do if his wife died, and after the funeral, he found evidence that she had cheated on him? Which then led me to ask myself, “Hey, I wonder what the Dope would say?”, whence forth sprang said poll.
Get drunk, but I’d be doing that anyway.
Stay drunk for longer.
Dude, that is one of your problems.
Their name is legion, but I digress.
The Lady said, “He tries.”
Perhaps if you used a spell checker your odds would improve.
Being serious (and don’t expect THAT to happen often) its not so much a thread as a weekly series of threads. Started with one question and then highjacked in 23 different directions; usually the same day. Just a place to throw a lot of various things not worthy of their own thread. At least that’s how I use it. I don’t go around GAMES much at all, maybe once a month or two, so I’m not sure how it would fly there ---- but what the heck; go ahead and send some PMs around and see what people think. Call it “Odd Sports Stuff: Week of April17” or something.
Great. Now I’m going to have this earworm
all night. :smack:(Although truth be known, I don’t know if the greater shame is the earworm or admitting I know this song)
I like it.
(although I don’t have any white socks)
Another one for the weird dream registry: I had to find Jon Stewart to get him to sign some papers - not just autographs, but important papers. So I found him, presented the papers, and said “Sign these, please.” And right there on the dotted line, he wrote “Mike.” I stood there perplexed. Then the cat started jumping on the door and I woke up.
Good morning!!
swampy, trying to persuade my sweetie to wear sunscreen is a losing battle. Believe me, I’ve been fighting that battle nearly 32 years. It just ain’t worth it. I just handed him the bottle of aloe and went back to my crocheting.
No plans for today. I kinda hope it stays that way. But we shall see.
Happy Sunday!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN Actually been up for a while. ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 for today and possibly rain/tstorm/apocalypse this afternoon.evenin’. We shall see. The weather PTB claim this over the next five days.
Today’s plans include deheathenization. I get to be a (not the cannibal kind) Lector this mornin’. I have an easy reading, only five verses and no weird words. YAY!
Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, at some point, purtification for deheathenization must commence.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, off to work.

Holy blurfing Sunday y’all
Blurf!
I woke up sick this morning. Headache and belly problems. The headache is leaving now and I think I’m up for more tea and a little oatmeal.
Happy Sunday!
I think we will have to put on the A/C today. It’s already getting hot in here.
Nothing special going on today, just like any other day.
Deheathenating and laundry seem to be the big plans over here.
I overcooked my bacon this morning.
I still ate it, though.
