I went back to sleep for a little while this mornin’. I still woke up before OYKW. He snoozed until eleven. Anywho, I grilled burgers and dawgs and we had burgers for N.O.L. Can’t believe he ate that just after gettin’ up but he did.

Well, they got another referee, so I only had to do two games…which is a good thing, because I don’t know if I could have finished a third.
Lots of kids (and coaches) coming into the U10 from the U8, where they don’t have referees, so I have to explain things to both, mostly that "I’m in charge now’, which some coaches have trouble with…they’ll get over it.
A little drama in the second game. Kid ran off the field in the middle of the period and into his parents Minivan. I couldn’t stop the game so I had the coach sub and found out at the break that one or two of the other kids (I think on his team) had told him that ‘he sucked’ because he let in a couple of goals as goalkeeper.
At the end of the game I called both teams together, told them what had happened, told them I was disappointed, the it was poor sportsmanship, and if I ever heard them say it on the field, I would toss them out of the game. The coach had some words for them too, so maybe a lesson was taught…or at least implanted.
Going to get sustenance…two cupcakes and a liter of water is not enough.
Just finished washing the outside of the car, then repairing one of the garden hoses. It had a small (but growing) split and a small hole. Among the stuff the previous owners had left in the shed we hose ends for 1/2" and 3/4" hoses. Lucky for me, they had the size male fitting that I needed. All it took was some snips to cut away the bad portion (about 12’) and channel locks to attach the new end in place. It works just fine - no leaks or anything! YAY!!
So the car’s back in the garage, the sprinkler is doing its thing, and I’m having a bowl of watermelon.
**FCD **called and said only 3 people did the ride to Baltimore, so once he got there, he decided to call my sister. She’s working today, so I don’t know if he went to the bar or if he’s just coming home. Just hafta wait and see.
Definitely hot out there - I think I closed up just in time. Now, what to watch on Netflix??
I’ve finished giving the Stately Manor a thorough cleaning. Next up is repotting the spider plant and doing a little writing.
Such a thrilling life I lead.

I thought about going to the clear the shelter event today but Sah-son vetoed it. Since he does most of the animal care around here it’s his choice.
I thought he might like to get a cat.
The dog finally got his bath, nice and warm outside for a wet dog. Once he was done he stood at the door and wouldn’t budge.
I still have the windows open and the fan on. See how much longer until it gets hot in here.
Stuff to do but first a shower.
Howdy Y’all! I’m in from cee-mint pond time and have had a shower. Others are still out there but da bear had enough fun and frolick in the sun. Not to awfully hawt out but the a/c feels good. There’s talk of orderin’ pizza a little later. We shall see. Enjoyin’ a day of sloth and leisure. Bliss!

Also, why isn’t there an equivalent to the MMP in the Game Room. I’d really like to ask someone why there is a picture floating around of Ben Affleck’s (alleged) mistress, wearing what appears to be Tom Brady’s Superbowl rings?
You can create an MMP equivalent anywhere you want, tho calling it something else would prevent confusion. As to the mistress/ring photo - paparazzi live for that crap, as do some people. *<shrug>

As for polls - I’ve found they seem to get better responses during the week rather than on the weekend, simply because there seems to be more activity then.

Don’t mind flytrap. He has no long term memory and must ask for explanations/definitions which he won’t retain anyway. It’s easier to ignore him. 
Sounds like a thread for Cafe Society to me. I think that’s the place where you ask stuff about alleged celebrities and stuff like that.
Everyone left finally! OYKW has had a soak in the tub and is chillaxin’ in the bedroom. All is well.

**FCD **got all sunburned from his little ride to Baltimore and back. He stopped at my mom’s and she fed him lunch and put him to work. 
He had a hankerin’ for a steak and baked N.O.T., so we went to Texas Roadhouse for supper. I got the salmon - it was yum! So we’re both stuffded, and I don’t have dishes to do - WIN!!!
Time now to recline and crochet.
