Hearts and Flowers in the MMP

Aww, c’mon, I bet it’s snot that bad.
Off to the big winter race in a few.

Proof that you can’t trust Mr. McGregor!

butters, that wasn’t TMI. All of the snt and goo, maybe. :stuck_out_tongue:

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, towels in teh wash and puppy crate cleaned. No big plans for the day. If the skys quit leaking, I may take Nelson somewhere.

Now I want to buy a tank; if possible a Swedish S model

Darn both of you!!!

Snow warning again for Sunday. Sunday is also the day that hubby leaves for 2 weeks. He’s going to CA and then Amsterdam.

We had a little too much kid excitement this morning. 'Beamer wanted the Internet at oh-dark-thirty, but it wasn’t working. He kept coming into our room until we finally gave up and got up to deal with it. I predict napping in my future.

Happy Sattiday.

For Sale?

But if that’s not to your liking, read this.

Home from the race. Pro Tip: If one wants to do well in a race one shouldn’t do a tough workout the day before & one also shouldn’t go out the night before, either, which it was more of a run-with-a-number-on than a true race for me. But it’s a fun local event & a good contingent from my running club does it & I had fun.
There was also a woman there who does T-shirt blankets, which I was thinking of doing anyway as a way to clean out the closet a bit since I’m running out of room from all of my race shirts. Turns out she’s local, lives 3 doors from one of my good friends & is reasonably priced, too. So I now have to spend part of this evening deciding which ones will go into it.

My haid hurts, not sure if it’s from lack of sleep or dehydrated from the race so I’m drinking both Gatorade & Coke to remedy whichever one it is.

I ----------- am half-way thinking about it. I know/have known a few folks who have owned tanks and I once got an armored half-track up and running again (and sold it to a marina that used it to drag boats out of the water) so --------------.

And its not like I’ve never owned something silly before. The two issues I keep coming back to are a place to keep it and a way to move it around (which is why I didn’t keep the half-track). You just never know though.

You could keep it at my place; just leave a key so I can start it & take it out for a quick drive; yanno, so the battery doesn’t run down & the tires/treads don’t get flat spots. All part of helping a fiend out. & yes, that next to last word is spelled correctly

We had N.O.L. at the little bar just up the road and I have accomplished nappage. I know, slow down. I’m gettin’ too old to keep up such a fast pace.

Hi, honeys, I’m home! Drove a total of about 4 anna half hours to spend 3 hours visiting with my mom and my sis. It was snowy and icky on my drive back, but I’m home safely, so there’s that.

I have yarn to sort and I’m not sure if we’ll have supper or not. Maybe just sammiches.

Happy Saturday!!

Isn’t that a tank destroyer?

Well, if a MMPer gets a tank, we’re having the gathering at their place so we can play with it. It’s in the rule book. :stuck_out_tongue:

Worked, laundered, came home. Watching curling on TV, and college hockey on YouTube.

If you’re willing to settle for something newer ,but less armored, tomorrow is Military Appreciation Night at the Canes Game.

hush, you.

Sunny, we can play “catch the shell”! Flytrap can go first.

Home from 6 hours of refereeing indoors and am in Norse God mode: Thor all over. Had thought about going to see “Black Panther” tonight but I don’t think so (maybe Moanday when the weekend excitement has settled down).

FCM, glad you’re back home safe. Raining all day here and cooler (about 49F now), but now snow.

Sorry, I can’t see myself in a tank. I’m built for comfort, not cramping.

Spidey, glad the race and friends were good, that blanket looks intriguing, I’ll have to check around.

Need to forage for food here shortly. All y’all take care.

We have supped upon sammiches and chips. There’s ice cream when desired. All is good.

I was amazed to discover that I had enough storage space for all the yarn! YAY!

But I need to get a pattern and buy the yarn for an afghan for my niece’s baby. They’re big 'Bama fans, and the baby room theme is elephants, so I found a pattern for a crocheted stuffed elephant - I’ll make one crimson and one white, and I’ll design an elephant afghan to go with it. That’ll be my project after I finish this shawl.

Chillage tonight, busy tomorrow. Glad it’s a long weekend.

Happy Saturday!

Even though the day is almost over.

It’s snowing like crazy, but the last grocery run I bought $400+ in food so we are good for at least another two weeks.
Besides it’s supposed to get up to almost 50 tomorrow and in the 70s on Toosday and Wednesday.

It’s been a weird day, nothing going as planned, and it feels like it should be later than it is.

sunny, there’s a rule book?

I wound up going to a local brew festival this afternoon and listened to some good Celtic music and sampled a few brews. http://franklincoarts.weebly.com/arts-and-ales.html Then I swung through the craft sto’ and caught some sales on the way home. Nelson voted yes on ribs for supper tonight, so I got takeout at one of the local joints. Twas yum!

missred, what kind of beer do you like? I’m kinda fond of dark beers, ale, porter, stout, and so on. Of course the ones I like best, like Guinness, cost the most.:frowning:

There’s a local restaurant called the Blind Tiger that serves exclusively the beers it brews up itself. Some have punny names, like Smokey the Beer. If you can’t decide what you want from the descriptions you can try small, shotglass sized samples of the ones you are considering. I’ve never had a beer there I didn’t like.

Back from Golden Corral, not one of my better choices; the tables weren’t bussed, it took 10 minutes to get silverware, no soup spoons (ate soup with a basic table spoon), no napkins until into the main course…most unsatisfactory. Still, my belly is full, so there is that.

Probalby headed off to bed shortly. All y’all take care.
