Hello Everyone!

New user here and thought it would be polite to say hello. This is actually the second time in the space of about a month but on my first try my account was quickly deleted because I had signed up using a free VPN. Hopefully last longer this time…

Hello.
Welcome etc.
We hope you enjoy your flight.
Exits are here, here and here.

You may want to contact a mod, multiple accounts will get you the boot, too.
What do you like on pizza?
(I’m pretty sure VPN use should not get you the boot.)

Thanks

And Here?
I’ll call our Sr. Mod in for you. @engineer_comp_geek

For now don’t worry about it.

I sent an admin an email once I figured out what I thought had gone wrong, so they’re hopefully aware! It was a free VPN so it probably triggered a blanket ban on an entire I/P range, I’ve signed up for a proper paid for one this time.

And the always controversial ham and pineapple pizza is my favourite

Thanks, should have said in my post that I spoke to engineer_comp_geek by email before I signed up again!

A mod was contacted. All is well.

Certain VPNs are such a huge source of spam that they are on our “naughty” list. Certain IPs and email domains will also get you the boot.

Pineapple? We may have to re-think the decision to let you in…
(yuck)

Well i like pineapple and ham on pizza, so welcome to the SDMB.

Two huge questions, the answers to which will earn you both adoration and eternal damnation:

Hot dogs: mustard or ketchup
Chili: beans or no beans

I was going to say welcome to the board, but I see you’re going to need some re-education! Ham is a rather questionable thing to have on pizza, but pineapple is completely inexcusable. I’m convinced someone once put pineapple on pizza as a prank, and a few people – born with a tragic absence of taste buds – fell for it.

Only those who have sold their soul to Satan put ketchup on hot dogs, apparently believing them to be hamburgers. As to mustard, one must use cheap yellow mustard out of a squeeze bottle, nothing else. Speaking as one who uses Grey Poupon Dijon on almost everything else, cheap yellow mustard is de rigueur for hot dogs (only); anyone who uses Dijon on hot dogs reveals themselves to be a pretentious dork.

Chili without kidney beans is called “stew”.

Does the new guy still have to clean out the hyena cages?

Cheese and chili

No beans, served on spaghetti with cheese and oyster crackers.

And how about spicy brown mustard? Pretentious, or delicious?

They have to catch them first.

Me, too. A delicacy I picked up in Australia when I was stationed there in the mid-80s. Never cared for their cheeseburgers with friend onions, beets and an egg over easy.

I reserve judgment because I haven’t tried it, but I wouldn’t condemn someone who happens to like it on hot dogs even if it wasn’t my preference. The thing about Dijon is that I can’t help but think it’s the cachet of Dijon that is the attraction for these pretentious dorks, not the gustatory compatibility. But as I said, good Dijon (“good” meaning the kind made with white wine, like Grey Poupon, rather than vinegar) is usually preferable on most other things that take mustard. :grinning:

Come on people! Pineapple and Canadian Bacon.

Welcome to the Dope!

At the initiation ceremony, a squid will be provided, but you are expected to bring your own goat.

Welcome aboard! It’s a fun place. For some of us, it’s what we use for a social life. :wave:t4:

Ham AND pineapple on pizza. Beets would be going just too far.

Mustard AND ketchup on hot dogs. And chili (beans or not, makes no diff), cheese, and onions (raw, chopped). Spicy brown mustard is okay.

BTW there is currently a shortage of Gulden’s Spicy Brown Mustard, possibly in the whole world, but definitely in my local grocery store(s).

You haven’t? You are missing out on a whole world of gustatory delight, my friend.

Same here.

Ham and pineapple on pizza is great!

Of course, I tend to eat hot dogs with… Mayo and taco sauce?!?
