What common toppings do you NOT like on a pizza?

Poll coming.

Any “popular”/“usual” toppings that you don’t like, won’t ever order or eat, or will pick the topping off of?
My only for sure one is onions. I cannot stand onions. Not in or on anything, so if they’re on a pizza, it’s a sure way to know I won’t be stealing any slices.
I have picked onions off a pizza before, so it doesn’t ruin one…but I’d much rather just not have a pizza with onions on it, period.

That’s the only topping I outright hate and will never get…

…however three other toppings I’m not crazy about (but will still eat if it’s the only pizza around (like at a party, etc)) are: Green Peppers, Red Peppers, and Anchovies.

That’s it.
Any other topping I will enjoy heartily.

I don’t care for pepperoni. It’s too salty and hot.

Green peppers aren’t up there, either, nor is pineapple.

I’m not crazy about meat toppings, because I think they make the pizza too greasy.

The only kind of pizza I won’t eat, ever, is mushroom because mushrooms are evil nasty little slimenuggets that taste like dirt.

I like vegetables, but not on my pizza. And for some reason ground beef on a pizza feels icky.

I swing between pepperoni or sausage with an occasional foray into ham and pineapple.

Damn straight.

I’m glad that green peppers are losing at the moment. They suck and need to be kicked in the nuts.

Only anchovies and pineapple. If given the choice between pizzas with the two I’d take anchovies, though.

Anchovies are one of a very few foods which I actually dislike, and the only one that I’ve ever heard of being on a pizza, so that’s what I picked.

I find ground beef on a pizza to be boring, and wouldn’t ever order it for myself, but if someone else is ordering I won’t go picking it off or anything, and it’s fine if it’s a Meat Lovers’ or something, with other toppings to make it interesting.

And Hawaiian pizza is fine, but pineapple is kind of pointless by itself, or with other toppings.

Cashews. There is something of a cult in SoCal comprised of people running pizza joints and the International Cashew Conspiracy. Gakh!

I should also note that while jalapenos and green peppers have no place on any pizza of mine, diced Ortega chilis are welcome.

Onions do not belong on pizza. Or on sandwiches. Or in salads. Or anywhere they aren’t cooked, preferably caramelized.

I figured I would be okay with anchovies, so I ordered a pizza with some… once. That will NEVER happen again.

I prefer not to have ground beef on pizza, but I will gladly eat it if it is the only kind around. All other vegetables and fruits listed are fine with me (yes, even pineapple).

I love a combination of pepperoni or italian sausage and black olives. Another favorite is spicy sausage with lots of peppers (green, red, and banana).

Don’t care much for green peppers. I’ll eat them if they’re there, but it’s not something I’d ever order for myself.

Actually, I don’t care much for *green peppers in general. I’ll add them to a salad, but that’s about it.

*Well, bell peppers, regardless of the color.

I voted for pretty much everything except pepperoni, ham, pineapple, sausage (both kinds), and bacon - and although I wouldn’t reject a pizza with bacon on it, it’s not something I usually get. I also usually don’t get ham (or Canadian bacon - especially the kind Papa Murphy’s uses, where you need to run it through a shredder first if you don’t want to eat the giant discs they give you all at once) unless it’s a “hawaiian” pizza. On the other hand, I’ll put pineapple on pretty much any pizza; in fact, I had some pepperoni, sausage, and pineapple pizza a couple of nights ago.

I can’t believe mushrooms aren’t leading. ::shudder::

I only ever get pepperoni but I’m good with mushrooms, sausage (any way), black olives.

Onions and peppers of any kind are just murder for pizza. You can’t pull them off and even if you can, you can’t get rid of their taste or stench.

One way to really ruin your entire day is to get a pizza delivered and go to dig in only to find that they’ve accidentally put onions or peppers on it. Meal ruined.

Mushrooms (vile, grown in poop, smells like old coagulated semen)
Pineapple (sweet fruits have no place on a pizza)
Banana peppers (too dominate of a flavor, drowns out everything else)

Anchovies (nasty little things)
Ham (pink, rubbery, slimy, no thanks)
Sausage (not a fan)

I’d be happy with anything else.

Not a big fan of peppers, whether green, red, jalapeno, or banana. Hate olives. OK with most of the rest of the list, although I don’t care for onions on a standard pizza. On a barbecue chicken pizza, with barbecue sauce instead of tomato, however, I like me some onions!

There’s nothing I can think of, off the top of my head, that I would pick off or even don’t like. It’s all good. I tend not to like garbage pizzas, though. You know, the ones that have everything but the kitchen sink on them. Usually, the fewer ingredients, the better, but I’ll go up to four in at least one case (sausage, mushroom, peppers, onions being pretty much every Chicago pizza’s joint standard “special” pizza. Still, I like if they don’t overload it.) Typically, when making for myself, I go with up to two main ingredients, with sausage & mushroom and sausage & peppers being my most likely combo. I do tend to avoid any pizza with a barbecue sauce base, though. IT’s not a topping, but I don’t like barbecue sauce on a pizza. I’ll still eat it, if there’s no other options.

Although I wouldn’t necessarily order some, there isn’t any pizza topping on that list that I definitely wouldn’t eat. Well, maybe the hot peppers because I don’t like really spicy food.

Although anchovies are gross and I wouldn’t eat them, the are an accepted pizza topping. Pineapple is an abomination unto God and all that is right and holy.

I don’t like the flavourless mushrooms often put on pizza (or frozen pizza). There are many types of mushrooms, some of which are less gross. I’d eat all the other stuff, and even mushrooms aren’t a deal breaker if there are some better toppings.

In England, not crazy about tuna and sweet corn on pizza. Nor orange sauce. I like grilled lamb, chorizo and linguica (whatever that Portugeuse sausage is called). I can live without Japanese grilled squid.

Pineapple on its own I’m not a fan of, but paired with pepperoni, bacon, Canadian bacon, or ham, it’s great. It used to be the only Domino’s pizza that I tolerated (before they changed around some things and now I can actually enjoy a wider variety of their pizzas.)
