What common toppings do you NOT like on a pizza?

Things that have no business being on pizza include fish, fruit, and fungus

I hate vegetables

Yeah, what the heck is it with sweet corn on pizzas in parts of Europe (and I would assume elsewhere.) I’ve never seen it in the US (although I’m sure by now some pizza joint is offering it.) I’ve mentioned this before on the Dope, but I remember when I moved to Hungary a few years back, one of the weird culture shock items for me was seeing Dr. Oetker’s Big Americans supreme pizza, which was topped with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, green peppers, and corn. WTF? And “Big Americans?” It’s a whole line of pizzas. Their barbecue chicken pizza has corn on it, too. Their California pizza is tuna and onions. Huh? I mean, yeah, we Americans get crap for making things like “French dressing” which has little, if anything to do, with any salad dressing served in France, but it sure was weird seeing it the other way around.

Olives. Don’t like them on pizza

When I was a child my parents used to make a rectangular “pizza” with a Bisquick crust, tomato paste, “mootsarella” (as we pronounced it), and *completely *covered with a layer of ground beef. That was my first experience of pizza.

Today I don’t eat any meat, so I clicked on all the meat ingredients, but also the banana peppers, which I’ve never had on a pizza but which *sounds *just plain wrong.

Totally agree! Except for I love mushrooms on my pizza. So that makes me a liar-- I do not* totally* agree. I never said I agreed. Why are you persecuting me!!!

Practicing to be President.

I’ll eat just about anything on my pizza, EXCEPT pineapple… ugh…

I like EVERYTHING! Pile it on! “Garbage Pizza!” Yes, yes, yes to every single ingredient!

Thin crust, thick crust, baked, fried, I don’t care: gimme an extra large!

I’m pretty far from a hipster-class pickler or anything, but I periodically make a batch of super-simple pickled red onions. They’re delicious on pizza, tart and crunchy and juicy. Any other kind of onion on pizza doesn’t really improve it.

I also don’t care for chicken, or ground beef, or mushrooms on pizza. I like them elsewhere, just not on pizza.

Anchovies? Can’t stand the stinky little fuckers, wish I liked 'em but I just don’t. Green peppers? Nasty on pizza.

I’m quite picky about my pizza.

Nothing veggie-based, (other than the tomato sauce,) and no anchovies please. Ham and chicken, I’ve reluctantly warmed up to.

I marked off “sliced, whole sausage” but that’s not 100% a deal-breaker. The thing with the sausage is the heat factor. Most places around here like spicy-hot sausages for pizza. No thank you.

Allergic to mushrooms, clams, mussels and oysters so those are definitely out! Ground beef is flavorless so I wouldn’t deliberately put it on a pizza, but I would eat one that had it. I detest bell peppers and dislike most other capsicum peppers so won’t order them, and find they tend to infest the rest of the pizza with their flavors so I won’t eat a pizza with them picked off unless I was desperately hungry and it was the only thing available. Detest uber fishy tasting fish so no sardines, mackeral, anchovies, herrings or the like though I have had a seafood pizza with shrimp, scallops and lobster that was quite good [white bechamel sauce] I have eaten Hawaiian but ham is not one of my favorite toppings, I simply prefer sausage or pepperoni. I think the only way I like peppers and ground beef on a pizza is in the form of a taco pizza.

My favorite pizzas are a classic margharita, basic pepperoni and one that is sopresata, slivered red onions and artichoke hearts. I do tend to prefer less toppings over lots of different ones [supreme or meat lovers] and I do like extra mozzarella if it is the good stuff instead of the cheap skim milk mozzarella stuff.

I was one of the few that voted pepperoni. I can eat it, but I would rather not. And, please no olives of any kind!

My body doesn’t do peppers. Put one in and there is hell to pay.

I’m gradually coming around on onions in general, but I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE (HATE!) onions on pizza. Hate.

Best pineapple and ham pizza I ever had was at a joint where they would wait until the pizza was halfway done (cooking that is) before adding the pineapple.

No dried out piece. Just pure juicy goodness.

Also, I’m with Ivylass: I likes my veggies, but they don’t go on pizza.

olives, because I hate olives. But they don’t foul the whole thing up so if a pizza has them I’m fine with picking them off.

green pepper. I don’t hate green peppers, but just don’t like it on pizza.

pineapple. I generally don’t like sweet mixed with savory, and the cooking gets pineapple juice all over the thing so if it’s on a pizza I’ll turn it down.

I hate, hate, HATE black olives.
I LOVE green olives.

No love for olives at all.

The one missing that’s practically ubiquitous in Minnesota is sauerkraut. No, it should not be on a pizza, Sam I am.

Chilli and pepperoncini.

No mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives, or anchovies on a pizza for me.

I like mushrooms and onions, just not on pizza.

I don’t care for green peppers or black olives. Red or yellow or orange peppers, fine. Kalamata or green olives, sure.

Anchovies have their place in a caesar salad, and that’s about it.
