What common toppings do you NOT like on a pizza?

Red, banana and green peppers because I wouldn’t eat them ever anywhere.

Onions because I wouldn’t mind them but my belly isn’t happy about them.

Green olives I love but not on pizza.

I’m a meat and cheeze person, with the occasional Greek (black or kalamata olives, feta, tomatoes).

I am a definite NO on the 2 "p"s: pepperoni and pineapple. Pepperoni is too greasy and stomach-turning and pineapple I don’t care for in any format except fresh off the pineapple carcass.

Anything else is ok, but I would prefer not having to negotiate anchovies or ground beef.

I do, however, enjoy a seafood pizza with white sauce and a very mild white cheese.

Red, jalapeno or banana peppers just because they don’t sit well in my stomach.

The rest is fine. I’m cool with the “Garbage” pizza, even with anchovies.

I agree with the above. Who the hell first thought of pineapple on pizza?

I love green olives with fresh bread and Manchego and a cold dry sherry, but NOT on pizza.

I can live with any of the other options. I assume the ham would crisp up from the oven time?

I don’t usually eat green peppers, and they would be awful if they were the only topping, but most local “specials” include them along with the red ones, plus the usual onion, sausage, mushrooms. And they blend in nicely.

I’ve never seen a ground beef option in NYC or New Haven. Meatballs, yes, but that’s a completely different thing.

To the poster who said “no fish on pizza,” try a New England white pie with fresh clams sometime!

This is amazing stuff. One of my favorite pies is clams & bacon.

Give me all the veggies, but hold the meat and fruit (ie: Pineapple, Dried Cranberries, etc).

I usually get three toppings or less, but I don’t care what they are. I’ll eat anything they have.
Except green peppers. They are slimy and smelly and make the whole thing taste bad. They can’t be on the other half either because they leach over. Some things, like black olives, stay out, but not peppers. Ick.

Wait, cranberries on pizza? Now you’re just joking with us.

Kale. I’m sick to death of kale (and quinoa) being shoved into every goddamn thing here in hipsterville. Had a really good pizza the other night with potatoes, Spanish chorizo and manchego. I usually prefer pepperoni with pineapple.

I can’t stand most veggies on pizza other than mushroom. Green peppers, olives, etc. Gross.

Spinach and mushrooms are the only veggies I like on pizza.

From that list I will happily eat anything but spinach and olives. Even then I wouldn’t pull them off. The only thing I would remove are fresh tomato slices.

It seems anchovies are the least popular. I like them fine if they are used sparingly.

Most of mine are typical. The one that isn’t is pepperoni. It’s tasty and I’ll eat it if that is the pizza that is around but it seems to make the pizza extra greasy in away I don’t like so I never order it (unless it is part of like a supreme or something).

You pepperoni/general meat dislikers keep saying “extra greasy” like it’s a bad thing.

Clams and BACON? GENIUS. Must try…

I checked most of the ingredients listed above, except for most meats.

Can’t stand olives or mushrooms, and I’m mostly a meat eater on my pizza.
Hamburger, Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon-yum!

As much as I love olives (both green and black), I hate them on a pizza. The flavors clash with other ingredients. And I don’t eat hot peppers, on pizza or anywhere else.

But I love everything else, including anchovies.

I like every ingredient on the list in its proper place but some of them do not belong on pizza. However, the only one that I actively avoid on pizza is pineapple. Gross!

My mother and I have a favorite pizza that is always a safe bet when we are hungry because no one else will touch it - anchovies and double jalapenos. We think it is awesome but no one else does. It certainly has lots of flavor though. One problem with ordering it is that many pizza places assume it is a joke order and don’t even start to make it until we complain.

Peas and corn, which are not hard to find on pizza in Thailand.

I wish I could lay claim to the combo, but it’s not my idea. There’s a local pizza place that purports to do New Haven-style pizza where I hear clam is one of the major toppings (a la Pepe’s–you’re a Yale guy, right? Or am I thinking of someone else), but supposedly clam and bacon is a common combination there for the cognoscenti. Those in the know told me to try it that way when I went, and I was hooked. That’s the only pie I get there.

In Finland, a few decades back, I saw pizzas with grated carrots and tuna fish on top. No, thank you.
There was a place called Texas pizza. The pizza was horrible, but it was fun to go in there on a cold winter day and listen to the Texas radio station playing. The weather reports were especially amusing.

Anchovies are just plain nasty. I can tolerate most of the other toppings I don’t care for, but anchovies are a deal-breaker.

Mushrooms are vaguely unpleasant. They magically make everything taste stale. I don’t like olives (either kind), but I can put up with a few of them. Cooked spinach is kind of bitter and slimy, but unless it’s actually a spinach pizza, there’s usually not enough to be really bad.

Outside the realm of common ingredients–I like red grapes on pizza, which gets me some strange looks on occasion, especially when someone mistakes them for olives. Anyone else a fan? (If not, I guess I’ve given everyone a reason to check the “What about…?” option. :D)
