Hello my name is Otanx, and I am a Doper (finally).
This is my boring hello post. I have been ghosting on the boards for a long time (a few years). I actually posted a few times when the board was free. I decided that this year for my birthday I would register, and actually participate on the boards.
I am a big compter geek. If there is ever a question in GQ about the header of an IP packet, or on the inter workings of networking I am there. I don’t have many hobbies besides that. Play EQ/EQ2 once in a while. Read alot, and will read almost anything. I also race my pride and joy a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 w/ Cummins Diesel.
I live in South Korea. I am a PFC in the US Army. Currently stationed at Osan Air Base. My wife is also in the Army and is staioned about an hour bus ride north of me. I have been married for less than a year. I met her online in Everquest(Told you I was a geek). We got married Dec. 22 just before she got sent to Korea. I followed 7 months later.

I don’t have to go through that whole, Doper initiation thing again do I? I still hurt from the first time years ago. I heard Hal took all the sheep anyway. Yep even the “new” guy has got to poke fun at the sheep thread.
Hahaha. I joined the SDMB at the same time as Hal’s sheep thread got posted so that’s the ONLY thing I associate with him. Wonderful, isn’t it? He was one of the first people I learned to recognise here.
