I can’t see anything wrong with what Flux said in there.
I think the way dopers treat newbies with regards to behaviour that is acceptable amongst established dopers is OTT
Lobsang - my feeling was that she didn’t know (unless she’d been lurking) anything about Zen - and therefore it was rather silly of her to accuse someone who stated that they missed him of being whiny. The rule about not bouncing into a thread and saying something without knowing what/who you’re talking about - one I’ve broken more than once, I’m sure.
Again, though - I welcome Flux.

A lot of people have lurked for years before posting here. And even if he/she didn’t, it was still a funny post. There’s no rule about “not bouncing into a thread and saying something without knowing what/who you’re talking about.” Never has been.
