Welcome to the boards, Flux. If you haven’t lurked a lot before registering, I suggest you spend some time reading through many of the threads in the various forums in order to get a feel for how things work here. This is the finest message board system on the Internet, bar none, but it does have its own rules and quirks. I lurked for nearly a year before registering.
Check out the FAQs in the ATMB section. It could save you some time and aggravation later on.

Flux, I may have been out of line in my previous post, but your first few posts in this thread, your use of smileys, as well as your choice of nick did not give me the impression that you had been lurking for a while. If I was wrong, I apologize.
I didn’t like your drive-by posting in the thread I linked (I’ve been guilty of a few myself) and I called you on it.
That being said, I hope you’ll contribute to the board at least as frequently as I do.

Flux, for some strange reason my feelings of welcome for you tend to ebb and flow, come and go. Why is that?

Flux, you seem like a good chap - level-headed, fine sense of humor, fine sense of self. If you continue to not let other people rile you, you’ll do fine. (Just remember that there may be many people not on your specific “wavelength,” meaning they might not grasp your humor right off - or want to.)
