Happy Birthday, FCM!!!
Happy Birthday, Wiki!!!

**Buttercup, **I happen to be a Fed employee. I can assure you that we are not ALL slackers. I work my ass off, and ran a six person office alone for over 14 months. We’re still not fully staffed and I’m still just killing myself here.

As for the leave thing; it’s all about documentation. You have to document it, you have to formally counsel and have her sign, implement something similar to a PiP, and follow through there. It’s really not impossible to get rid of bad employees, you just need to have the documentation.

yeah. what they all said.

also blurf.

That reminds me, a need new sunglasses.

Happy Birthday to FairyChat and all.

It’s sunny out today and I know it’s cold. but my phone app is stuck on yesterday so I have no idea how cold.
The road out front is covered but must not be too slick because nobody seems to be having trouble getting up and down it.

OH! we are unstuck, It’s 16 degrees with a high of 25 for the day. Next weeks temps look just as sucky.

Boring day today.

Butters there’s a reason my father used to say government employes are rejects from society who can’t make it in the real world and that government jobs are modified welfare. It’s not nice but unfortunately it is true with some government workers. They know it’s hard to fire them and they take advantage.
When I worked for the state one of my co-workers grandmother died at least 6 times, and the doctor who signed his notes wasn’t listed in any directory. The supervisor who questioned his notes got in trouble for investigating if the doctor even existed. I could write a book about the shit that went on there, the waste of tax dollars and the insane work environment, but nobody would believe me anyway.
It was one of the happiest days of my life when I got away from the insanity that was working for the state.

What is worse than a blurf, I gotz it. I just want to sit. Not do anything, but just sit.

Happy Thorsday

Happy Birthday Moooom and Wiki, Swampy get well. I cannot, in good conscience, hurl CATSHARKS at a sick man, well an unhealthy one anyway.

Up, caffinating and my goatee is still growing.

I am very much looking forward to March and our upcoming MiniMumperfest Music Extravaganzas featuring Matt Schofield.

Busy day today

Cheers all

Jim

Have you considered the jellyfish larvae option?
Not as spectacular in delivery, requiring only a small catapult, but good non-fatal results.
Remember, Jelly Fish are best served hot, and revenge cold.

I live close to the Gulf Coast, I could round up some of these

Those would definitely put a damper on fun in the Ceement Pond.

I’m feeling terribly smug; I cycled to the bank and back, all by myself

Okay, so it’s all flat cycle path, and I was going dead slow and had to stop for a breather, and it’s really not impressive at all, but it was about 3 miles, and I’ve never really cycled before except as a wee kiddie in the garden*.

I know half my friends are Serious Cyclists, and do mad stuff like cycle to Hungary from England (not a made up example), but still, it’s a good start, right?
*Well, I did buy a total piece of junk called a bicycle and try cycle to work when I lived in the middle of nowhere age 18- about a mile and a half- but I fell in a ditch when trying to get off the road so a car could go past, then I bought a car a few weeks later, and gave the bike away.

Happy Birthday to Mmoooommmm and Wiki. Taters I know not all fed employees’s are slackers as I am one too. It is so frustrating to have employee’s be so un dependable. The reason I say I can’t do anything about it is she always has a doctor’s note and my boss will not back me up. When she is here she is an excellent employee

The other one has aspirations of something higher up in the department like maybe POTUS. Just very entitled. As the Manager it all falls on me to keep the doors open no matter what and I have done it before and will do it again. Maybe I need to be a bitch.

I surely am sorry to imply all federal employees are slackers. I am frustrated that I cannot truly count on anyone except myself. Sounds like you have been/are in the same boat.
I hope all the sickies feel better soon.

Happy (belated) Birfday to** Spaz**.

Happy (actual) Birfday to MoooooooooM.

Survied all 1 inch of snowpocalypse. Might not survive the cold though. 16 degrees. B-double-RR.

Had to bring the neighbors elderly cat, whom I am don’t know if they are aware still exists (she spends all day in our yard and the outdoor cat houses we built) in our garage for the night. She wouldn’t go in her house and it was 24 degrees and getting dark. She spent the night in a box we fixed up for her. We cracked the garage door so she could get out this morning. She hasn’t left. We may have a new cat.

Me neither Butters and Taters
I know most of the people work but it’s the slackers who make it bad for everyone else.
Private industry would never tolerate that crap.

My boss used to come in everyday with a bag of pot strapped to one leg and a bag of coke strapped to the other and would lock me out of the office while he was making drug deals. He beat up his supervisor one day and his supervisor (who was an incompetent asshole) got transferred to a different department where he couldn’t cause any more damage and my supervisor got promoted to his job. One day he picked me up and slammed me down in a chair and told me if I moved he’d beat me up because I was working too fast and not dragging out the overtime. On any given day at least half the people at work were drunk and/or stoned. The director was my supervisors biggest customer and the assistant director sat at his desk drinking beer all day.
Like I said, I could write a book, but most people would never believe the shit that went on there.
