It was cold the other day, but not very snowy. I didn’t go out at all today.
I’m going to attempt going out to work and rehearsal tomorrow. Dunno if I’ll be able to play any music.

I was driving through Potsdam, NY last night. It was -27 degrees. According to today’s weather report, the nearby town of Massena hit -30 (a new record for the town).

I stayed home from work today and listened to the radio. They talked about juice boxes all day. I’m not even kidding.
I hope I can get to sleep tonight and go to work and stuff tomorrow.

I’m sitting here debating whether to go to work or the hospital. I think I’ll try going to work.
Howdy all. Feeling wonderful physically. Mentally not so much. If anyone ever decides to move up into Management Don’t Do It! I have three employees and am mad at 2 of the 3. It is next to impossible to fire a government employee.
I have a girl who has been with me since July and missed so many days due to illness of self or her daughter. Last week it was her Grandfather had only 8 hours to live. So not wanting to be an asshole I told her go, be with him. She was out on LWOP Thursday, Friday, Monday was a holiday and was back on Tuesday which made her get paid for Monday. Gramps had a miracle and doing just fine. She worked all day Tuesday came in Wed for 1/2 hour and left due to sick daughter and will be out today and probably tomorrow. This means she will have worked 1 day this week.
She will return probably Monday with a doctors note even though she has no leave accrued sick or annual. Rinse and repeat. She has missed more work in 7 months that I have in over 10 years and there is nothing I can do about it. She missed exactly half of all work days in Dec. due to two minor surgeries for her daughter.
Daughter gets pink eye then mama gets pink eye. Daughter get a bug that is going around and mama then gets it. I am not heartless and know these things happen but I’m trying to run a damn business here.
The other one has worked with me for about 18 months and got a huge raise when she was promoted from a flex to full time employee. She is resentful of all the time off the other girl takes and makes snide remarks like “we can’t get any raises” and they both make the same amount. This girl got a raise last July of well over three bucks an hour. She is making now what I was making after working there 5 years.
My best employee is a senior in high school which limits hers availability. You know I’m about ready to tell employee B to shut the hell up. I am trying to do something about the excessive absences of employee A but I have to do it the right way.
My boss is no help at all. I told him yesterday I will just work 6 days a week and run the office alone. Do not go into management. Rant for the day.
So if any slackers or whiners need a job apply for the Feds.
On a happier note I feel all healed from my surgery. Still Waiting on pathologist report and can’t relax til that verdict is in.
So’ I have resigned myself to nothing but irk for me but am taking my little dog with today. Maybe they will fire me. Naw, I have permission to bring him.
At least today is Thursday so only two more days of bs until the weekend. I hope everyone else has a great day.

Yestiddy I got back to da cave, had a bowl of soup, and went to bed. I slept from about five-thirty yestiddy afternoon until almost five this mornin’. Right now, I feel like I could go back to bed, but I won’t. Maybe a visit to the doc is in order. I shall call in a little while. ICK!

I called my doc’s orifice. They open at seven-thirty a.m. thankfully. I was told to come in around eight-thirty and doc would squeeze me in or I could just go to the doc in a box, but I’d rather see my doc. The convenient care center is great for after hours and weekends. I’d just rather not go there if I can at all avoid doing so.

Realtor came last night and said she didn’t want to give us an expected price, because we still had so much work to do. But she said it nicely. What made me laugh is that she came in and said “Wow … you guys sure have a lot of stuff.” Whereas anybody who knows us would have come in and said “Holy crap, where did all your stuff go??”
So, I guess we need to rent another storage space. Next weekend. I have declared this weekend to be a non-working weekend, because we’re tired and ouchy. So mote it be.
Feel better, swampy. You’re sick because bears are supposedta hibernate in the winter. What are you doing out and about? If I had an excuse to sleep for three months, you bet I’d take it.
