Ever been responsible for keeping one of those things sanitary and inviting? And ever been the one paying the electric bill to keep it hot?
About ten years ago, you couldn’t swing a dead cat on craigslist without hitting someone offering their hot tub for free because they couldn’t handle the extra $30-50 of electricity per month that it ate, not to mention the cost of all the filters, chlorine, etc.
That said, I do miss the one we had in California. We wound up giving it to our neighbors.

My friends with the hot tub are going out of town for two weeks and I have an open invite to use the hot tub anytime. I love hot tubs, I used to get in it a lot when I was watching the pups. I may make my way down there a few times just to use the tub.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 28 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 58 for the day. Not too shabby compared to other places but I want Spring and warm weather now!
I slept for nine hours last night. Go Me! Thus I am up and alert. Also feelin’ better. The antibiotics are doin’ their thing. We have plans to go get haircuts, we both need one bad, and have N.O.L. at the good Chinese place. I think it’d do me good to get out of da cave for a bit.
Now I need more caffiene an rumbly tummy is hongy which is a good sign.

Today’s experiment worked. Idiot Higgs woke up before 5 again. I let her out, then didn’t feed her, but let her stay out of her crate and I went back to bed. She followed me and eventually settled down in the valley between **FCD **and me. Taz curled up in the mini-valley between my knees and we all slept an extra couple of hours. So yay!
Of course, poor, starving Higgs needed her breakfast, so I was up just after 7, but that’s OK - I was actually rested. Dog has been fed, my toofies have been brushed (begone, morning mouth!!!) and my poor sweetie is still in bed, not feeling well. That means whatever gets done today gets done at home. And I was thinking that **FCD **probably caught his crud on the train last week, because that’s the last time he was with a mass of humanity.
Quite windy at the moment, and low 20s - yet another reason to veg at home. I’m with you, **swampy **- c’mon spring!!!

We are both fed, purtified and dressed to go out into the workd and it’s just before eight a.m. even! The haircut place opens at eight-thirty. We shall go there when it opens and get shorn. We shall then go to the Pubic Sto’ to get some foodstuffs. Later on we’ll venture back out for N.O.L. I really want food from the good Chinese place today. May even get the Pubic Sto’ to steam up some shrimpies for dindin tonight. YUM!

Howdy all. It’s a winter wonderland here.
I’ve got to go get some groceries and stop in at Petsmart. Then, hopefully RT will be home. We’re trying to find a new place for him to park. I’m going to check out a couple of places. One of them happens to be behind my favorite Mexican restaurant. Sounds mighty convenient to me!
