Had a crazy day off yesterday. Lots of clearing out and cleaning before nephew’s bed was delivered and built. Then figured out how to make nephew a mattress substitute (camping mat, sleeping bag, several blankets, down comforter. He was most pleased not to have to wait until a mattress is delivered to get to sleep in his new bed. In fact, he was inordinately pleased to finally have his own room. He had an eye appontment after school, but once we got back from that, he got his xbox situated and proceeded to make international friends while playing some icky game. (He’s totally not shy about making friends via videogames; he was playing with guys in Australia, England and a couple of U.S. states last night. He also follows a bunch of international channels on YouTube and sometimes chats with people in Spanish).
Meanwhile, his sister was on a bus from Chicago headed to her first con here in Columbus. She called her Dad asking for a ride because her original ride hadn’t worked out. Dad was on the West Coast, so I got the honor, although the bus was dropping her off (unbeknownst to her) across the street from her destination. I wanted to see her and give her her Christmas present (cash), so I told her I’d come get her. Worked out well because it took a while to figure out where her friends were. Also, she desperately needed cash, so the present was timely.
So, today’s tasks include cleaning out the dining room and sorting out items to donate or sell. Woo hoo!

I’m cleaned up, dressed, and about to head out for food and to run the car thru a carwash - it’s covered with snow-road crud. Then home to do laundry.

I’m wondering whether to go to the hospital today. It’ll be a long, long wait time. Many hours without eating or going to the bathroom (since I’d be going alone, if I’m called while in the bathroom, I’ll never know.) And I’m supposed to go to a play tonight.
Damn it all.

Good Saturday (Caturday) morning all. 
My sweet cousin, who I stay in touch with via email nearly every day, is in the hospital. She is retaining fluids so is on lasix. Hopefully they will find out what is wrong and fix it, so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, thanks!
In other news, about 5 years ago, when my Dad was downsizing to move into his retirement community, he “distributed” a lot of his stuff among the kids. One book was a genealogy of a segment of his family that had been published in the 60s. Now, he swore that he had sent it to me, but I sure did not recall getting it. It ended up that everyone thought it had been sent to me, and I had lost it, so I was the goat. 
Oh yeah, Dad wanted the book back. (LOL) Anyway, it turned out that my brother who had been helping him ran across some old email correspondence between several of us, and it turned out that another brother had wanted the book, and I said, you can have it, so he had sent it to him. When he got the box, though, he put it directly in storage. Well, guess what?! The book was in there, had been there for five years!!! LOL I’m not holding my breath, but I think my Dad owes me an apology!!! Still smh over this one … here they had me questioning my sanity!!

It’s snowing again. Despite that I took a walk today. There’s a Killer Hill in my neighborhood that I’m using as conditioning for when I restart my hikes in the spring. I call it the Killer Hill because it’s reminding me how out of condition I am. Stupid hill.
I guess I might as well clean the Stately Manor today.
And we’re back! The car has been run thru a carwash and the worst of the road salt and crud is gone. First load is in the washer. Cat box has been cleaned. Recycle can has a new bag and the full bag is tied up and awaiting transport. Dishwasher has been emptied and refilled and counters have been wiped down. Yay for productivity!!

I’m seeing at least 3, maybe 4 loads of laundry today. Good times!

Footy stewarding again today- playing against the town I was born in, (who lost, badly) in the cold and stinging horizontal wet. I looked so cold and pathetic that one of the police in attendance tried to lend me his hat

Third load of laundry is in the washer, second in the dryer, first is folded and put away. I might do one more load today, or save it till tomorrow. It’s kinda hard to get motivated when it’s so icky outside.
Howdy Y’all! I’ve had a kinda busy day. After hair shearin’, we went to the Pubic Sto’. Didn’t like the looks of the shrimpies they had today so no shrimpies for dindin. Oh well. We came back to da cave, unloaded groceries and put ‘em away. Then we went to the good Chinese place. We had called JDD and Partner and met ‘em there for N.O.L. JDD proceded to tell us that his father (who is in a nursin’ home in large and in charge Dawson, Jawja for those keepin’ score) had bee askin’ about us (OYKW and me) lately and wonderin’ when we were comin’ to see him. I kinda hemmed and hawed about that what with the walkin’ pneumonia and all, but really I’ve felt kinda good all day so after we ate all four of us went to Dawson to see JDD’s father. That made JDD’s Father’s day so it was worth it. We gotta be better. We really should go by at least once a month. The man has dementia so we’re either two of his sons or friends of his sons (this is true). Then again we might have grown up in Parott, Jawja with his sons in his mind. Anywho, he knows who we are and he’s a good guy so we do need to get by to see him more often. Wow, that was rambly!
I also had a little bit of a nappy poo cause I was tahrd when we got back to da cave. When we decide we’re hongry pizza shall be dindin. Yeah, we just had it two days ago. So what! 
MOOOOOOM tell FCD I finally broke down and went to the doc. I’m on the third day of antibiotics and really do feel a lot better. If it’s pneumonia or walkin’ pneumonia, he’ll get over it a lot quicker with the high powered stuff.
Laundry’s done for today. **FCD **doesn’t want supper, so I don’t have to cook. I’ll probably make myself a sammich later. Maybe I’ll knit a while now…
Pizza has been ingested. Life is good. That is all.
I replaced Mrs. Plant (v.3.0)'s MIApeppermint shrimps this morning, and bought a firefish.
There is a native weed growing in the terrarium, in a pot ofutricularia sandersonni. I am lazy, didn’t remove it, and it has a cute bloom.
So I went to the hospital (horsepistol) today and decided to have my ribs looked at. Luckily they’re not broken. I was told that they’re bruised.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll try singing or playing the melodica to see what happens. Dunno if I’m brave enough to try the clarinet yet.
I went to the game, 15mph at the tailgate. Then I worked. Now I’m home.
