Hi Everyone! I guess I still qualify as a Newbie.It seems like I’ve been here two years not two months, but you know what they say about time flying and having fun etc. 
I got on because I wanted to find out the answer to a question (now if I could just remember what!) and I landed here. Happens I have a copy of the first Straight Dope book, so as soon as I saw where I was I sorta went “Boing!” and dove in. I think I registered and posted in about five minutes flat. Lurk? What’s lurking?! I probably wore my welcome fairly thin, but so far no one’s slapped me down. (yet). I really like it here. Great people, interesting conversation. Gee, that sounds so …stuffy! Okay, this place rocks!!!

Anyway, thanks for the welcome. And thank you all so much for letting me join in. Sometimes I feel like a puppy looking for someone to let me come and play. I know at times I can come across as kind of know-it-all, and overeager. Just let me know if I’m being a pest, and I’ll try to get a grip!
