Help! Boredom Alert!

dietvanilla coke??

I am bored and hungry at work too (I owe my post count to being bored at work). I haven’t got a stock of alchohol (and everywhere will be closed when I leave work). So I guess I will be forced to read the Wee Free Men.

I did not realize until well after the ‘meeting’ of the little people that the word ‘wee’ is the scotish ‘wee’ (i.e. ‘little’)

Damn! I would love to, but my office computer doesn’t have a sound card :frowning:

Oh, and where the heck are you to be able to see a sword??

Yup. Its lovely.

As opposed to?

Yay! The fit has finished!

Now to start on the next one :frowning:

well, as opposed to what children call piss.

I thought so, just thought I’d check.

I’m beginning to think that my brother was right when he said I ought to have a sleeping bag here…

The sword is hanging on the wall across the room from me, next to an axe and a flail.

'Tis my smiting collection.

And diet vanilla coke is much nicer than the normal vanilla coke, which in turn is nicer than normal coke. Washte is addicted to the stuff.

Poor Angua…how long do you have to stay? And when did you get in?

Should we be scared?

It is. I think I’m rapidly heading towards addiction also.

Maureen, I’ll have to stay until I’ve managed to fit two more sets of data. I have to give a progress report tomorrow, and my supervisor is pressing to have everything in a publishable state by tomorrow. I got in about 9:30am.

Nah. Just very, very, alert.

Lately all forms of ‘cola’ bought in cans or plastic bottles are virtually undrinkable. Makes me wonder how they are so popular. Draft coke is a different story though.

Should be easy enough with all this coke.

Lobsang, sat in my office, my choices are bottled/canned caffienated beverages, or skanky black coffee from the machine. I know which one I prefer.

However, we’re moving offices at the end of the week, and there’s a kitchen opposite. I’m moving my caftiere in

As long as you’re aware that co-workers will wazz in it.

They’d better bloody not! I’ll have to hide it in my filing cabinet when its not in use.

You’ll forget one day, and when you do -

“Hmm. This coffee is quite tangy.”

Eww!

You owe me (actually, University of Birmingham) a new monitor!

AAAAHHH!! 13 Hours??? For 3 data sets?
Angua love, you need to move out here to Silicon Valley with me and Zenster, where the data systems are actually user friendly. Of course, the freeways aren’t, but you should be used to that

Nope, 13 hours for 10 data sets. Oh, and a seminar in the middle, so more like 11 hours. But still.

And as for the freeways - I doubt if ours could get any worse!

Hmm… I work with objects known as Wide Angle Tailed radio galaxies, shortened to WATs. Its rather telling that whenever I type the letters “wa”, the next letter is always “t”, no matter what the context.

Tell the uni to send the bill to:

Kal
C/O: The Benign and Fatherly Dictatorship of Kalistan.
Just down the road there,
First house on the right,
Can’t miss it,
Its the one covered in ivy.
I take it you changed your mind about bringing the caftiere to work.

I bet Ford Aerospace would love to have you. They’re right up the street, practically. Or NASA, which is also conveniently located here. Or any of our 6 (that’s right,6 ) observatories we have here…

oh, yeah…and the food rocks.

 Yes, I have changed my mind about that!

Oh, and hurrah! All the data sets have been fitted. I have an OK looking plot, and so now I can go home.

Yay!!

I’d do a happy dance, but I’m far too tired for anything energetic.
