Can anyone help me here? I remember seeing a movie about a nice guy and family that moved into a house with really terrible neighbors. They harass the family, causing minor damage. The bad guys also run over the good family’s dog - a St. Bernard. That was close to the final straw -the dad goes all Death Wish on the punks and achieves catharsis.

A Very Brady Massacre.
Kinda rings a bell, although I don’t recall a St. Bernard, and the guy was really being bothered by the neighbors’ out-of-control teenaged son and his hoodlum pals. It was in 1973, made for TV, starred Robert Culp, and was called Outrage.
Only a very slim chance that this is it, of course.
