My husband and I have been trying to figure out the name & performer of a song about which all we remember is two lyric snippets.
We believe it is from the early- to mid-1980s, and was probably a novelty song.
The singer may have had a twangy “country” or southern accent.
The only lyrics we can remember are (approximately):
“Don’t piss me off
You f*&@ing jerk”
Or maybe “You piss me off…”
and at some point the singer maybe mentions someone having his pecker in his hand.
OTOH, I remember hearing it on the radio, so the “f*&@ing ” part could well be incorrect.
TIA!!

It’s The Rodeo Song by Showdown.
I think it’s been covered by numerous others though.
Those lyrics look right, which mean I must have been way off on the time period (90s vs 80s).
Thank you!!

Well…don’t count this as a definitive original recording yet. I know I’ve heard versions of this by David Allan Coe, as well as The Canadians. And I’m not absolutely sure which one came first, but I’m pretty sure I heard this for the first time well before the 90s.

I think it was released in the 80’s then rereleased in the early 90’s.
I seem to recall David Allan Coe singing it too, but don’t know if he was the original or a cover.
