How about this version of the VA state seal. ChatGPT screwed up several times in my attempts to make this, the more violent versions closer to the original seal tended to get censored or came out crappy. And the censor absolutely tripped every time I tried to have it draw Virtus in her original clothing.
I kicked around a few sign ideas, even mocking a couple up in Photoshop. But this has been one of those weeks at work and I realized I was just not gonna get it done as well as I wanted. So in the spirit of flag day and what’s going on here in socal, I ordered a big-ass California Republic flag and a telescoping pole with Comfort Grip™.
I really wanted the historical version from the Bear Flag Revolt, where Californian independence was proclaimed 179 years ago this Saturday, but couldn’t get it in time.
Yes, the crown especially is a little fuzzy. It was only a “quick-n-dirty” attempt that I knocked off in about five minutes.
However, @Ponderoid has provided a much sharper, and IMHO, better example than mine. If you go with such a sign, then I suggest you use that one, rather than mine.
Thank you all so much! You’ve been a great help. Reading through these has really gelled what I want to say and what is most important to me. Also helped me keep laughing through a very serious process.
I’m refining my Tiananmen idea based upon something sparked by a convo with TypoKnig. It’s Shopping bag man, but the head of the tank is an elephant head, and the cannon is his trunk. The words are “Constitution or Party?” with Party in red. Everybody say a little prayer to the Gods and Godesses of Art that I manage to convey this properly. LOL!
I saw someone on the first day of the ICE protests with a blank piece of cardboard. Someone in Ukraine at the start of that war did the same thing, and they were arrested, not surprisingly.
Mine just says “NO KINGS HERE” with a picture of a crown I printed, and a no-parking sign over it.
Weird. That is slightly elongated on the horizontal axis. No idea why. But anyway, thanks for all the help guys! Everyone seemed to “get” it, and several people stopped and asked to take photos of it. We had a good afternoon with lots of great neighbors.
