The guy who introduced me to The Straight Dope a few years ago is a serial lurker. I had given up hope of him ever posting here… however, today at work he mentioned to me that he was actually thinking of registering and posting!:eek:

He’s an interesting, intelligent, and funny guy… you’ll like him!

So, C’mon! You know who you are… Do it! Do it!!

Be interesting to see what user name he chooses…

Side note: I just found out via IM from another friend that the lurker is currently out drinking, so it may not happen tonight…

Sorry folks… if I know him, by the time he’s done drinking he won’t be able to find the “on” button on his computer… but trust me, when he DOES register, it’ll be worthwhile!

hmm, I thought I posted here but must have gotten distracted. Anyway here’s what I’d do. Go to his pc when he’s not there, register him, choose a tag and password for him, go to this thread and hit reply and then leave.

It’s wrong and immoral but hey, that’s me.

I got an e-mail from the stooge in question a while ago, and he misunderstood my e-mail telling him about this thread. So I replied and straightened him out, gave him the thread title, etc. Maybe we’ll hear from him soon!

He said he’s still wrestling with the oh-so-important username decision…
