I remember recently seeing a comedy bit where the foil of the joke had donated sperm at a sperm bank. He goes and checks on the status of his product and is offended to learn no one has ordered his offering for insemination.
Anyone remember who this was and on what show or movie?
This may not fit the bill, but there was an episode from Season 3 of Friends (“The One with the Jam”) where Joey finds out no one has selected any of the “product” he sold to a sperm bank.
That is probably it, as I have seen every episode of Friends, but it I didn’t have a “euraka moment” when I read your post. 
Recently happened to DiNozzo on NCIS, if I recall corrrectly. The running joke was that he needed to return a call to the sperm bank, but he kept getting interrupted by Gibbs or a female co-worker.
