Geez Cat Leggo-My-Leg. Kinda has that lilt to it. You could call her Geezie or Leggo.
Surely many a cat has lived contentedly into old age being called Baby Kitty.
roygbiv, after the colors of the rainbow? If that’s too hard, just Bivalo?
Or howsabout Splotches?
Excellent name, especially if the kitty walks through walls (if you haven’t read the book, there’s a kitten named Pixel in that book. We were once owned by a cat named after another Heinlein feline - Pete a.k.a. Petronius the Arbiter).
Good on ya for rescuing your new overlord. Lots of good karma (er, car-ma?) there!!
:smack: Duh - confusing the other new-kitten thread with yours. :smack: Ignore that part of the post!

Our calico is named Butterfly. It’s a weird name for a cat. But colorwise, it’s pretty appropriate.
Ooh, I like Myriad. Very classy sounding. (My favourite font is Vivaldi, which would actually make an excellent name for a boy kitty.)
Your kitten answers to her name? Mine had to be tuna-trained for years to answer to hers!
Splat! Splat cat.
Because when you splatter orange dark orange and black and white paint on a canvas, you’d get a calico.
Or Goldfish.
Or Mojave.
Or Early Man.
Or M960.
Or, Gingham. Just to throw everyone off.
A friend of mine had a calico named Butterfly, too! Unlike the ones other posters have, hers was reputedly very sweet & gentle.
The Kitten has a name.
Pixel was a frontrunner for a while, Kali and Mosaic and Jester also good. But the winner is…Myriad! Myri for short (pronounced Meer-ee). Describes her coat, is a favorite font, and it just sounds and looks pretty. “Having innumerable aspects or elements”…she shall be a kitty with depth.
I’ve heard rumours that calicos, torties and torbies have nasty dispositions, but never heard the rumours until after adopting little Kero, who is, by all accounts, the Sweetest Cat in the Universe.
It’s her sister, fat old Bastian, who’s the real bitch around here. I loves her, but she’s a bitch. There’s just no getting around it. She has her sweet moments, when she wants something. Otherwise, sheesh. Drama queen.
YAY! Myri! What a pretty name!
Nice!
My Luna is a torbie (tabby and tortie) point Siamese mix. She is one of the sweetest and friendliest kitties in the world, except at the vet’s. Maybe meezers and torties/calicos just act up at the vet’s?
Myri is a great name! We’ll need to see lots more photos–whenever you can get her to hold still.
We have a torbie, and she’s also very sweet. She’s almost 2, so she still likes to play and gets wound up easily, but she’s gentle and affectionate.
This is her. Her name is Hazel. You can’t really see her tortie markings in the photo since she has a tabby face.
I feel like I should clarify; my calico/tortie/whatever girls are not crazy bitches, by any stretch of the imagination. They just have a lot of…spirit, shall we say? You have to get to know these cats to understand that when Max is fighting and swiping at her daddy, she’s purring like a truck, and the claws aren’t even close to all the way out. As cats go, they’re not completely easy cats (cats you never hear from or see around the house), but they are incredibly affectionate and people-oriented, as well as a little bonky.
One of our cats is a long-haired calico (kinda rare apparently) and our vet told us about the Hyde/Jekyll tendencies as well. She’ll go from hissing/spitting bitchy angry to purring like a motorboat on our laps within a space of minutes. She has all sorts of strange hangups. You can’t pick her up or approach her from the back. The Queen only deigns to address you when you approach her (like the worm you are) from the front.
Good luck she’s so gorgeous or she would have been out on her pretty paws long ago (j/k).
I love her (she was a result of my pity) but god, I would not adopt a calico again. We’ve had 3 male tabbies/tabbie points over the years (2 still with us) and god do they have the sweetest dispositions ever. One of them is pretty much a dog.
Kung-pao ok kidding
