Help me name my new kitten

Koshka-Russian for “cat”.

How about-Sundae?

CECIL!!!
if it’s a girl,
Cecilia!

I vote for the name “Robert Johnson”.

Ranma would just be the greatest name for a kitty, especially since cats hate water.
I’m not too good with names but how about Nicolette(Nicki)? It’s a name I’ve always thought was cute. Cosette, Cosita (little one, female form, in spanish), Kiara, and Jeanette are nice names too.
Keep us informed on what you like and what you don’t, do you have any ideas or suggestions? Tell us when you do name her.

Kitty

Tobermory, for the cat with an attitude(see H.H.Munro,aka Saki)

If you pick one of our names, do we get a prize?

My vote is for Zumba. Pronounced Zoom-Ba. It is my favorite kitty cat name. It is unique, sounds feline, and most of all it is fun to say.

If that doesn’t work for you I would check out this site
http://www.pclink.com/cnoble/petnames.html

It has lots of unusual names. Mostly Gods and Goddess from different places. My favorite from this site is Mictlantecuhtli (mihkt-lan-teh-KUHT-lee) the aztec god of the dead. Sounds like a good cat name to me.

I hope that you enjoy your new kitty.

The wife has suggested Peepers. What do you think? I like Sundae too I am stil debating. All are good suggestions so far

Darn Link!!

i think slythe has a nice ring to it.

I think Gronk would be a lovely name. Or Esmerelda Farthington McGrundy, III. (That’s my mom’s name, and she’s always enjoyed it.)

I suggested Sundae because you said she was black and butterscotch…and I immediately thought of a hot fudge and butterscotch sundae…

Call it Zinka. Oh, in fact call it Bob or Mary, or Blobbycat or Fluffybits, anything. The point is do NOT call it Greebo (aplogies to Lynn Bodoni, but you would be asking for trouble.) Actually, bear in mind that what the human names the cat is NOT the same as what the human ends up calling the cat. Cats do tend to be called “Oh, what the heck have you done now?” (Polite and printable version)

P.S. Celyn’s self-important kitty-puss sends love to new un-named friend.

Mmm, Celyn, I guess you wouldn’t approve of my naming my cats Trouble and Mischief, then, huh? Funny thing is, Trouble is probably the least trouble I’ve had in a cat…

Currently I have Trouble, who is a gray tabby, Punkin, who is orange tabby, and Molly, who is calico (Molly is a pun on Motley).
I’ve had Domino, who is black with white spots on her belly (now lives with my best friend).
Spanky I didn’t name.
Sam, who was named when I got him, too, but I pretended he was named after the hobbit Sam.
Scamper, a tortie, was named because she liked to scamper at you sideways with her back arched and fur standing straight up.
Sparky (the electrician’s cat) was named because he liked to chew electrical cords  .

Cats will let you know what their names are, if you let them…

It may be too young now, but eventually it will be funny if the name is Shed

Fur.

How about Mr. Feline?
Or something cute, like vanilla…

I always wanted a cat but one killed my father’s pet rabbit when he was six and now he’s scarred for life. I went off the thought of pets so now I’m a hardened cynical teenager. My suggestions are Loki or Macavity, Mack for short. Although these could be an invitation for trouble.

You could pick a poster… How 'bout Gaudere? Satan? Swiddles?

Other “ideas”:
Giant Floating Head (Flo for short)
Doper
Bart (Why you little!)

Or just “Stupid Cat” (Stu).

Neko-chan is kitten in Japanese. I’d like to name my cat that, I just need a cat.
