Help me name my new kitten

The comic strip Mr. Boffo had the perfect name for a cat.

He called the cat “Dog Meat.”

I named my cat, Sigmund Floyd. My brothers and I called him Floyd while my mother opted for the more luvable, “Siggy”

Piwacket, or however you would spell it. It was a cat in a movie…
Bedknobs and brooksticks, was it?

(I regret the association of the work the following quote is taken from with a recent, now defunct, musical. nonetheless it makes a good point…)

“The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn’t just one of your hoiday games”

Oh c’mon. How can you name a cat you don’t really know yet? You have to live with her while. then maybe se’ll tell you what it is.
“When you notice a cat in profound meditation
Te reason I tell you is always the same.
His mind is engaged in rapt contemplation
of the thought, of the thought, of the thoughtof his name
His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular name.”

C’mon what we really need is a piccy of the cuty.

My cat is named Tybalt. Tybalt is Juliette’s cousin in R & J and he is refered to as the Prince of Cats.

But that is a boy name.

A girl cat…

Selina Kyle
Quit Bitting my foot!
Mrs. Bumbleshoots
Not on my shirt!
Emma
or just… NO!

Miss Peepers says hello to you all and thanks so much for all the clever suggestions. meow

Liverwurst

Killjoy

Pixote

Scheisskopf. It’s German for “smart kitty.”

I’ll help you give aha a hard time, but not an innocent kitten!
It means “excretement head”.
But, aha, on you next trip to Mexico remember that “Su Madre” means “Good evening, Officer.”

Interesting. I was going to suggest a name I gave a kitten many years ago: Koshi. It’s a slurring of the Hopi word kokshi for “It is good.”
