Help me name my new kitty (damn right there are pics!)

He’s adorable.

He reminds me of a cat we lost to old age a few years ago. The cat’s name was Theodore Bear. My neices called him Teddy Bear. We called him Theo.

He also kinda reminds me of the orange cat in the Harry Potter movies.

How about Ron or George or Fred or Charles or Bill after the red haired Weasley brothers?

awwwwwww what a cool lookin little dude you got there! I think Cheeto would be a great name, too.

He’s so cute! It makes me just want to scoop him up and huff him! I mean, as Oscar Wilde said, “I love those orange ones - they let me see through my hand.”

(But I don’t do that anymore. Honest. I really don’t. As far as you know.)

Thanks for the responses, all. I know he looks orange in those pictures, but he is in fact kind of beige, almost yellow. The girlfriend wants to call him Tigger, but I’m still leaning towards Atreyu or Orion.

Anyway, here are a few more pics of the new guy (that’s me holding him in the last one) and, because I know what fans you all are of kitty pics, here’s a few of his big brother Loki.

That’s a great picture of you, Lord Ashtar. You look very eviiiiiiiiil. And the kitty is so cute! Call him Chester, but Atryeu is nice, too.

I’d call him Chester, but my mom’s already got a year old white Himalayan with that name. I was also thinking of calling him Leo, since we had an orange kitty with that name when I was a kid who died about a year ago. Maybe his official name could be Leo II, like Snowball II from The Simpsons.

It’s a little outside the box, but I suggest Sunset, because he has that round face (especially in that first pic) and his coloring immediately made me think of a sunset.

Barring that, I think you couldn’t go wrong with either of the above suggested, Bartleby or Cheeto.

A very cute kitty, by any name.

Beige, almost yellow…hmm

I then suggest Honey ;),** Biscuit**, or Cider.

He’s adorable.

I suggest Peaches. My dearly departed Peaches (who looked very much like your little guy, and who also managed to break his leg when he was a kitten, probably during his favorite trick of walking along the tops of the hangers in my closet) was also a boy, and he did not seem to have any qualms having an arguably feminine name.

For years prior to getting him, I had advanced the self-fulfilling prophecy that I would someday have an orange tiger-striped cat, and that cat would be called Peaches.

He was a great cat, and I miss him so. :frowning:

Oh cool, we have a cream tabby, too. He grew up MASSIVE, just to warn you.

I have no suggestions-but I’m with you on the yellow. I named him “Limbu” which means “lemon” in my Indian language.

Another name suggestion that Lady Ashtar liked was Simba, especially since he was introduced to us held out in front facing us like in the movie.

Call him Borgia. Everyone needs a cat named Borgia. Or maybe Azazel.

You’ve got to be kidding me. That kitten is impossibly cute. I can’t stand it. My cute-ometer just exploded!

How about Hank, Clarence, George, or Stanley? I have a kitty named Geoff which is also a good name, by the way.

Lock your doors, or I’m coming by to sneak in at night and play with the kitty.

This sounds dirty.

Holy crap, Lord Ashtar; we look eerily similar.

I actually found a stray kitten today, he came into the shop and was walking up and down the counter all day. So, I didnt actually find him, but I did find a home for him, with the tenants of a house I own. They love him! Not sure what they’ll call him…As long as they dont call him lunch…

You really need to send that first pic to cuteoverload.com . I love the way his right ear is half twisted back.

So I should name him Mr. Bigglesworth?

Excellent!

“It’s frickin’ cold in here, Mr. Bigglesworth.”

He looks a lot like a younger version of my buddy, Max. Therefore, that should be his name. Or Hank. Hank is good too.
