Help me name my new kitty! (pics...cuteness overload)

An absolutely amazing friend of mine went and bought me a ragdoll kitten as a gift. I get her next week, and I can hardly wait!

BF and I have not been able to come up with a name for her yet, so I am doing what so many others have done before me, and put it out there for 'yall smart and creative people to throw in your two cents.

These pics are ones the breeder sent. I will post more of my own when she actually arrives.

So far the best we have come up with is Belle (or Bella), or maybe Mia.

When I saw the little dark tips on her ears and tail, the first word I thought of was “Tipsy”. Could make a cute cat name.

I had a cat named Belle, and she was the best cat in the world, so you can’t go wrong with that name.

Whoa, Floozy, get off my wavelength! I was just thinking “Tippy”. I’ve always wanted to name a cat Tippy :stuck_out_tongue:

I think that cat should be called Fuffer. I don’t know what that means. She just looks like a Fuffer.

When I was in highschool, I had a cat named JP, for Jean-Pierre. My best friend at university had a cat named Steve (Best cat name ever, IMHO).

But your kitten is a she.

I think a lot might depend on her personality. Maybe wait a bit?

Yeah, it is hard to name a kitty you haven’t met. We just want to try and line up some ideas so we don’t end up calling her “hey you” for a month.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a little one. If I remember correctly, her name will probably be “No no” or “damnit” for a little while. :smiley:

Beautiful, beautiful beautiful little kitty ! Ragdolls are fatastic cats I hear.

I really like the name Bella, it seems to suit her. Of course, you may get her home and have her tell you that is NOT her name , it is …whatever your Kitty Overlord deems proper.

We had a cat when I was a teen that ended up being called The Cat (TC for short) becasue we couldn’t agree on a name for him. When we aquired a second kitten it promptly was named Little Cat (LC for short).

If that’s too sad, how about Lola or Jeanette. Those names have always sounded playful and teasing to me.

Why are they called rag dolls? Are they especially good cuddlers?

What breed is she? If she’s one of the Siamese types, the eyes will of course stay blue, but otherwise they will probably change, and the points will darken and spread. The reverse is true if not Siamese or related breed. Makes a difference.

But what a sweet, adorable little face! And those eyes! And that fluffy fur! And, and…

Good point (hah! unintentional siamese pun). Sapphire might not work for long.

I like Steve, perhaps even moreso for a girl cat. But perhaps Stevia? It’s a plant kitties love to munch on that’s really, really sweet (used as a sugar substitute for humans, too.)
