I hear a song on a local classic rock station that they never mention who it is that sings it. Or what the name of the song is. The lyrics seem to slip my mind every time I hear the song too.
I believe it is John Mellencamp that sings it, though looking up his lyrics I cannot find them. The song goes something (big something) like this:
I’ve got a fourteen fourty always will. (sounds like that)
In the chorus, there is catchy “I say oh no, no no no” in it.
I know this is very little to work with, but the words are sung so fast it is hard to catch what they are saying. It has a very catchy tune and trying to find out what it is just gives me funny looks.
