My rule of thumb is to imagine yourself with your precious pet at the vet’s office. Imagine a technician calling you to the exam room by yelling your pet’s name over the crowded lobby. If you’re OK with that name being yelled across a crowded lobby, then go for it.
I vote other, though I don’t have a suggestion without a photo.
I’ve always held to the principle that there’s no point in giving a name to anything that isn’t going to respond to it. Which is why all of that cats I’ve had have been named “the cat”.
which is pretty much what happened - he approached the intake tube a bit too closely and was sucked into the pump. I blame myself. I should have realized that he was, yes - that small! nevertheless…
On seeing the new cat’s pic, I can only see him now as ‘Bubba’. He is clearly a ‘Bubba’.
(Yah, I once had a big orange cat named ‘Bubba’ and he was so very, very cool!)
What a lovely cat, Doc! But he looks way too peaceful and happy to be a Genghis Anything. I suggest you get to know him better before hanging a name on him. One will develop. Have a happy cat!
