That is the message (or very close to it) a friend keeps getting on his computer when he visits most web sites. Specs are Win ME (Yea I know Me sucks but it’s not my computer), P3 900, 256ram.
When this message appears you have to click yes to continue loading the page and normally it will come up again several times before the page is fully loaded. Will upgrading to the latest version of IE help? Anyone have a solution.
Script error, do you want to continue loading this page?
What is the specific page your friend is visiting? What Browser is your friend using? Version? Upgrading wouldn’t hurt, they could also disable scripting in their current version, but that wouldn’t necessarily solve the problem, only make it go away…
If that happens on every web page, maybe he has one of those spyware programs that piggybacks on your browser. Usually a script error just means the page author has an error in his webpage script, but then you would only see the error when you visit that specific page.
It happens to almost all web sites, I’m not there now and no one’s home either so I can’t get all the details. When I do I will post them.
Also it might be a pigiback program as he is known to use file swapping programs and installs any shareware w/o a 2nd thought. But before he installed anything I had him install norton internet security - I know it doesn’t cover everything but the way he is it’s better then nothing.
