Helpme, Lady - or, a very typical MMP

Just remember that you’re allowed to eat your bananas, your nuts and your dates, but not your boyfriends.

Wearing perfume to work ought’a be illegal.

I actually slept halfway decently last night. I wasn’t ready to get up at 6:00. (although the dogs had gotten me up at 5:00 to go out). I’ve been a bad sleeper most of my life, and for the last couple years I’d take 1/2 an ambien and 2 melatonin before bed. That was working until recently, but this last month or so has been a nightmare of no sleep.

Dog skunked last week finally is down to the semi-reek stage, after the full reek. I couldn’t understand how I could be out of flea stuff before the end of the year, but then remembered I adopted the two new dogs. 6 dogs use more flea stuff than 4 dogs.

Back to irk.

StG

We had huge thunderboomers last night, and the dogs were up, and I was up, and hubby was up… that’s after the night before of not sleeping well.

Blurf!

Followed by a three hour training session on Intellectual Property and Patents.

<snore>

Thank Og I now get to LEAVE!!! And go to the dentist for a cleaning and a consult. (Typing that just made me remember to put my “work” toothbrush and toothpaste in my purse, to use at the restaurant after lunch.) My appt is at 2, but we have to take full days or half days for medical stuff, or else make up the time. Screw that - I’m leaving!

After that, a nap might be in the works…

Laterz.

(Hi Haze!)

Yay for good news, Herbs!

Nava - I don’t know if they sell them in Yurp, but don’t buy one of those Febreze fake candle thingies. They REEEEEEEK! I wasted my money. I wish I could have smelled it before I bought it.

Ok - bye!

Happy Toosday! Another long day at work: I’m making up time by working four 10 hour shifts, since I won’t be in tomorrow. I’ll be with my beloved hubby as he goes through the bone marrow biopsy. Let me tell you: if customer service is like Trick or Treat, I’ve seen a hell of a lot of toilet paper.

I can haz nap?

So, tomorrow is my grandpa’s birthday and we’re going to celebrate. Even TVMan will be going out with us.

Not too much exciting going on today, though.

Rosie’s sig to all as I haven’t retained much.

Queasy.

Please, no.

I voted too! No peach stickers here, just plain red ones that say “I voted.”

Hi Haze!!

That offer sounds pretty good, Nava. Now if only I could fit a trip to Spain into my plans!

I ended up at work until 7 last night, although that did include time for KT to bring me dinner. Our print vendor got us samples at 5:15 that have to be reviewed immediately. They wanted them back by 5:30. HAH! I didn’t even have them printed out until 5:29. 5:30 wasn’t happening. They got the approval just before 7. Ugh, that makes for a long day. Hopefully today will be a done-at-5 kind of day!

I voted, too. There were 2 people voting when I got in there and 8 empty machines. So I got done quick. I’ve got bread going in the bread machine to go with our soup for supper. Daughter is supposed to be bringing home something dessert-like.

I need to do some laundry tonight. woohoo.

And I managed to get to work without killing another deer, so yay for that. And tomorrow I should get word from the adjuster about my car. Fingers crossed for a quick repair…

I wasn’t going to vote due to a strong attack of apathy and annoyance at all the negative attack* ads** but then I found out my polling place was in a synagogue so I did my civic duty. I’d never been in a synagogue before. I’m weird, I know.

We got inspected at work today by Corporate. Last time this happened we got a score of unacceptable. This time we got a score of outstanding. According to GM, such a thing rarely happens. What changed? We got the updated standards manual 'twixt then and now.

*Is there a such thing as a positive attack ad?
**One candidate was using the Bob Enzyte music in one of his ads. Why did they think that was a good idea?

Maybe he wanted to get a rise out of people?

I knew there was a pun I was overlooking. I knew someone here would think of it.

I’m off at 5:30, and we’re going to vote right after. It’s family tradition that we all go vote together. The kids always go: he takes one in the booth and I take the other. We stress to them the importance of voting.

Headed home tomorrow…for a whole 4 days before I need to get on another plane. Whoohoo!

Tired and hungry so I am thinking room service and early night. The Sick is better although yesterday was rough for a while when the earache kicked in.

fcm…Whoa! Careful there

I am not legally allowed to vote in this country. So I didn’t. But mr ems did. I am however pleased there will be no more campaign ads on TV for a while.

I have been in a synagogue once. There was an interfaith service at the downtown temple last Thanksgiving. It was really beautiful. I’m hoping they do something similar again this year, whether it’s at the synagogue or the basilica or wherever.

Time to go home! (And maybe log back on to do work from there, but at least go home!)

I only voted so that I’d have the right to complain, if I felt like it.

We vote by mail here in Orygun, so we were done 2 weeks ago. I wish we could somehow explain that to the TV stations and get a better class of ads. This has been the most negative campaign season I can remember.

Herbs, do keep us posted on the cataract, I’ve got one of my very own, and I’m interested in how they deal with it. I’ll likely get it out when I qualify for medicare. :smack:

I worked, I voted, I walked the dogs. I am considering Papa John’s for dinner.

But she is dating him.
Glad your butt is better, BBBobbio!

Surname if its Nordic, Given if its anything else. And Confirmation Name if you used to be a Papist. <G>

OK – but remember to add food coloring to properly match the liturgical calendar. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! I tried to show just a little skin for you.

Voted, worked the polls a bit, plan to bitch somewhat no matter what the results.

doggio - Wouldn’t that be BBBobbio’s BBButt?

Oooookay. Black pudding it is. It’s All Souls Day, which calls for black vestments: so black pudding. It will still taste teh nom, though.
