Don’t blame me, I voted for Kodos!
I am not scanning, reading nor…uh anything. I’ve had, professionally, probably the worst few days ever. Details later, but only here, not in another thread.
All is ok now.
In catch-up mode (and no particular order):
- so glad you’re OK, FCM.
- glad the butt is better, Bobbio. <snerk>
- vestment-color-coordinated food made me giggle
- MBG - glad things are OK now. Hugs.
- voted this morning and then was forced (forced, I say!) to go buy a pumpkin doughnut and coffee because I’d missed my intended bus.
- Haze!
- I’ve been to a synagogue (went to someone’s Bar Mitzvah a long time ago) and have visited a mosque. I get to go to a meeting at a synagogue later this month.
- T-Mobile probably spent lots of money on this flash-mob ad, but it’s really cool, I think.
- I can hardly wait for the elections to be over; I’ve managed to miss most of the ads (I only watch American TV online, mostly via hulu; German online TV is blessedly ad-free), but I’m tired of all the hateful discussion.
- Cataract surgery is a miracle. I haven’t had it, but everyone I know who has finds it amazing.
I know I forgot someone/something, so general hugs all around.

This picture caused me to make an incoherent squealing noise.

Oooooh, oooooooooh, oooooooooooh, baby giraffeses are my favorites!
Also, Spaz: haven’t forgotten your resume; just had unplanned chaos attack me for the last week. Tomorrow, I hope, I can take a look.
Off to sleep, I hope.

Up and caffeinating and ready to head out to work. Cataract surgery is scheduled for Monday, November 29th! Looks like my Dad is going back to his senior living facility, to the nursing care section today, so thanks again for the continued prayers! Love you all.

:::::::::::zzzzzzzzzoooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmm::::::::::::
I know I probably say the same thing every year but today was also the birthday of a very special friend of mine who passed away entirely to soon. This morning his sister and I both wished him a happy birthday on her facebook page. Jeff was one of the kindest, gentlest, most sincere people that I have ever known.
Damned hamsters ate my post…

Blurf.
My bbbutt hurts once more, because I did something stoooopid in the middle of the night getting out of bed to aggravate it. I have another [del]medieval torture session[/del]PT appointment today, so that will hopefully make my bbbutt better.
I’m too lazy to look backward to find out who has the cataract. FTR, the wife of the guy next to me in Cubeville had cataract surgery about 2 weeks ago, and it was the type where the clouded lens was replaced by an implant. She went in around 7 AM, was home by 11, and he was at work by noon.

My mom had both of her eyes done for cataracts (at different times) over the last ~18 months. Both times it went really well and she has 20/20 vision (better than mine!) in both eyes, although she still wears glasses for reading. She was really nervous about it, but very happy with the results after it was done.
KT’s at an interview right now. Please send good thoughts. He wasn’t really ready to jump ship until the last couple months or so when he got stuck with the project from hell. Then a recruiter called him, and now he’s pretty excited about the new opportunity. So it’d be really good if the 3 hour interview this morning goes well and they offer him the job soon.
Don’t laugh but I was at a pot luck at a Slovak Zion Synod church that had black-ish Jello for All Souls Day. It was a grape with added coloring and not all that bad.
The fall-back when you don’t have the right color is red jello.
My good work-friend just told me that she’s probably going to steal one of my teammates. Grrr. I’m glad that she’s found a replacement for her employee who also transferred within the company, but why’d she have to steal someone from our team? We’re just about at capacity; we don’t need to have our analyst staff cut by 1/3. And the one being stolen is a really good worker. Grrr. Friends don’t steal their friends’ coworkers! (Ok, so it’s probably a good opportunity for my teammate. And, as I said, Friend will get a good employee. But my workload just dramatically increased.)
Dammit, my boy kitty Pi, is acting puny. Don’t tell the others but he’s kind of my favorite. He always meets me at the door when I come home and snuggled with me at bedtime. I introduced him to the kittens slowly so he wouldn’t get upset and they’ve been mixing for a couple weeks now so I don’t think it’s that but Klondike did sleep next to me last night, but Pi’s not a ting jealous he’s acting sick. He didn’t eat this morning and went and hid under the bed. I got him out and checked him over and don’t see anything obvious but he seems weak. I’m going to run him in to the clinic and run some bloodwork.
