I went to two church services today.

I had chalice duty at the 10:30AM service where I attend, I’m Episcopal.

But at 8:15AM I went to the Lutheran(LCMS) church I grew up at. A special bell for their bell choir was being consecrated. It was purchased with money given in memory of my father, who was killed last year. I was with my mom and some other relations.

You should have seen that bell. It’s the largest size bell for bell choirs that is made to be rung by hand. Anything larger has to be hung from a rack and struck with a mallet. I looked at the note engraved on it and it said G2. I’m not familiar with bell terminology so I don’t know what the 2 stands for. Dad would have appreciated it.

I’m not musical in any way, but some quick Googleing tells me that it’s the scientific pitch notation, indicating which G note it is.

I planted what I thought was lavender this year. It never bloomed and I was sad. Then I picked a leaf off and realized someone played a dirty trick on me–it was actually rosemary.

I want real lavender.

Then just what color would you call the Frowny face? (I thought it was lavender)

I don’t know either, but iffn it said K2, then I’d think it was from a mountainous region in Asia.
