Plans today are to deheathenate Luterun style (I have ush duty) and have a <snerk> Quickie! <snerk> N.O.L. I took a big ol’ chikin outta da freezer first thing this mornin’. Tomorrow it shall roast in the slow cooker with some N.O.T. and carrots. 'Twill make for a nice dindin tomorrow and what’s left of the chikin shall become chikin sallit.
OK, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants fuds. Also, at some point I must purtify for deheathenization.
BLURF I am not happy about being awake so early. Why can’t I sleep in? Of course there is nothing preventing me from going back to sleep but I would prefer to have not woke this early.

Odd Saturday. I refereed youth soccer from 0800-1100, took a break and then did two more games from 1230-1500. Came home and did a few chores before falling asleep at 5PM, awakened at 8PM to eat, watch TV and ditz around on the computer until 1:30 in the AM, then went back to bed until 0730. Can afford a weird schedule since have Moanday off.

I have a new coffeemaker! I went to The Walmarts and got a Mr. Coffee to replace the discard-from-irk because the hot plate on the old maker was half rust. The new maker came with a reusable filter! And the spout makes it look like a bird! I’m entirely too happy about this. I guess that means I’m an adult now. :dubious:

Busy morning so far - we had breakfast, then I ran to the grocery store while **FCD **stopped at the hardware store. We now have milk, and a few other things. There’s a load of jeans on the lines and a load of shirts and such in the washer. **FCD **is installing the motion sensor light in the garage - yay! No more forgetting to turn the light off!
After my laundry is done, I’ll start hemming a batch of towels for the little store. I need to go there and pick up my check - I expect it’ll be a small one. At the grocery store, I got a steak and it’s marinating for tonight’s supper. I also got some vanilla ice cream, so I’ll have to make that apple crisp for dessert.
Got down to 44° last night and our furnace kicked on this morning! :eek: And despite Higgs waking me at 5, I let her out, fed her, then we all went back to bed and slept till some time after 7. Yay!! So it’s a good day!

I woke up a bit ouchy this morning. I tripped at the bonfire last night and landed on my knee and now it’s an interesting shad of purple. Time to get out the capsaicin cream.
Howdy Y’all! I’ve deheathenated, had N.O.L., and even achieved nappage. The <snerk> Quickie <snerk> starts servin’ N.O.L. at ten-thirty on Sundays and we were there shortly after that. Roast pork with dressin’, sweet N.O.T., collard greens, squish casserole, fried cornbread, and chawklit cake makes a bear stuffed! However, 'twas soooooooooooooooooooooo good!
Welcome Luci. Traditional gifts are chawklit for MOOOOOOM, beer for doggio and me, and assorted bonbons/ice creams for everyone else. Except flytrap who gets coasters. He likes to make medallions out of 'em.
It tells you just how blurfy I am this am when I thought I had already posted here today. It’s not even am anymore.
It’s gotten up to 60 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 70. Looking ahead though, Saturday night is supposed to drop to freezing.
I had to turn the heat on this am, the cold woke me up.
My mother annoys me. After she calls me all upset, she wants her house cleaned out, tells me just take everything - now yesterday I get the *oh you can’t take that I promised it to Niece 1, or Niece 2 or the HFH * So she’ll bitch about them leaving stuff there, then tell me not to take it. Whatever, I’m done - I’m taking what I want and if she gets stuck with the rest that is her problem. We couldn’t fit anything more into the truck yesterday anyway.
Round one of towels is done - all are ironed and creased in half so I can cut them. Taking a break, then I’ll cut them all in half and press the hems. If I have enough left in me, I’ll stitch them up today. Otherwise, tomorrow.
Dog 2 has arrived for reassurance. All 100 pounds of him. :rolleyes: He’s not a scaredy cat. He just needs a LOT of love and attention. And he licks. A lot. I’m usually fairly tolerant. Today I want the ring of no lick around me. Snuggles are fine. No licking. Yes, I’m a tad grumpy. Why do you ask. :dubious:
Apple crisp just came out of the oven - it smells yummy in here! Laundry is in and put away, except for some thick socks that are spread on the bed with the fan on.
Supper will be steak, twice-baked N.O.T.s, roasted fart blossoms, and maybe some sauteed onions. Apple crisp and 'niller ice cream for dessert.
Holy crap, I’m channeling swampy!!! :eek: Because we all know how much he loves Brussels sprouts.
And the spout makes it look like a bird!
