Here doesn't come the sun- a MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 65 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 80 and “partly cloudy” for the day whatever that means.

red, sunny and daaaaaaaaaad glad y’all are on the mend.

{{{Wiki}}} YAY! Don’t forget to come back and play.

OK, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, off to work. It is not raining.

dad, glad you are a 0. and my favorite is:
Clerk: “May I help you?”
Me: “I’m beyond help.”

Sat down and cried?

Is there a recipe forum somewhere around here? Or hints you can give me?
Monday eh? I’m waiting on the sunshine too. They said a high of 70 yesterday, never higher than 60…maybe today? Husband said no, its going to rain-lots of fog this morning, schools were on delay

I hope its ok to do multiple quotes in one post!

Happy Toosday!

It’s a sunny 45 degrees outside, the temps are heading back up into the 70s. Nice weather for the rest of the week except for maybe a little rain on Firday.

Sah-son is knocking himself out, he has a paper due tomorrow that he thought was due Sunday. Panic time for him. I warned him to get ahead and stay ahead on his work. He should be glad it’s not the olden days when one had to physically go to a building called a library, look through card catalogs, browse the shelves and actually pick up a book.

Oy!

The soreness has gone down a bit and I even toasted my bread this morning. Yay! I may be back on real food by bonfire time this weekend.

I see sun and dry roads. May just have to use Bessie for work today. The day when she goes in the barn for the winter is quickly approaching.

blurf

Watching the sunrise out the window of my hospital room. Did not sleep much. Probably a combination of being used to being a day-sleeper, and having slept so much during the weekend.

Just ordered breakfast. Since my last hospitalization was about 59 years ago (repair of congenital inguinal hernia), I’m finally going to find out what the deal is with hospital food (last night doesn’t count, as it came from the cafeteria).

Soon, physical therapy, surgeon’s rounds with Q&A, removal of the Foley cath, and with any amount of luck, an early-to-mid afternoon discharge.

By all accounts, he was a tough guy.
He probably just ate his bear raw.

I have pumpkins. 80 of them. Also 20 bales of hay. Thursday is the 13th annual Fall Fest out in the ball field. We provide the stuff for kids to decorate the pumpkins instead of carving. They are to bring their own pumpkin but experience has shown they will show up with one tiny pumpkin and four kids so I started purchasing extra pumpkins so each kid can have one.

The hay is for a hayride of course. There will be inflatables and a rock wall. The fire dept brings a couple of fire trucks and there are other games and such.

How could I forget the Sheriff’s Dept Animal Farm petting zoo. They will be here with the sloth and other animals.

Breftest was yum. Hospital did just fine with Cream of Wheat, scrambled eggs, sausage, Breftest N.O.T.s, and a nanner.

Still haven’t seen the Physical Therapist, and it’s comiing up on 9:30. I evidently have to have two sessions before I can be discharged, and it’s getting a little worrisome.

Nope, I didn’t. It came from the State Store catalog way back when the first two digits of the year were “1” & “9”

AHA! So it was you who took away the sun and left us with grey skies and intermittent rains!

There’s days that were purpose-made to be able to roll your eyes at anybody who claims the sky is blue.

Dad, IME, the suburban hospitals tend to do okay with the food anymore. The urban ones, not so much. Hope your PT goes well.

I now own a new microwave!

Make popcorn in celebration!

File this one under “Ya THINK?” (bolding mine) Recent happenings at the UC Berkeley data center…

Friday 09/18/2015 21:44: Most IT systems are currently down due to an overheating issue in the data center. Any system requiring CalNet authentication is also unavailable. We are working quickly to assess the impact of this event. The assessment is expected to begin at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday 9/19. Once our assessment is complete we will post additional information on the restoration of all systems.

Friday 09/18/2015 21:18: There was a fire in the data center. Extent is not known at this time. Steve A is on-site and actively working on the issue(s). ETA unknown at this time.

Reminds me of a hot time that happened at a Compaq facility about 15-20 years ago. The under-floor air conditioning failed at night. The suitable alarms went off but were ignored by the front desk rent-a-cop security. What should have been a “Call the Facilities guys to check it out” problem became “Why is the fire department here?” because it got so hot in the server room that it popped the fire detectors. Nothing actually burned there, but it was just blazing hot with a room full of servers and no cooling.

Knucklehead security guys got mad that the loading dock doors were opened to let some heat out. :smack: They probably got madder later on when they were relieved of their duties.

No wonder you belong to such an exclusive club!

Howdy Y’all! Another day of irk survived. YAY!!! Grilled poke chops, baked sweet N.O.T. and succotash for dindin. The sun poked through for a bit and warmed things up but not so much that I need to close da cave windows.

gotti it’s all logical. IT systems would experience a problem with overheatin’ if there’s a fire.

Popcorn party at Butter’s!

Aside from the succotash, I still hate you.
