Heroes 1/29 - "The Fix" (SPOILERS)

The Official Heroes MySpace page linked to above has a profile of Claire that says she is 17. I am so confused. How old is she!?

A) No. Does it burn your eyes or something?

B) Has she been particularly sluttily dressed, or something? Seems like a typical cheerleading outfit, and I don’t remember anything else she has worn as being particularly revealing.

Not until this past episode. The cheerleader outfit is fine. It’s when she was lying down on the bed talking to her dad that she was falling out of her top.

Oh man, was it just me that noticed?! Gah!!!

Someone on another message board said that HER MySpace page (rather than the show’s) has to be set at 17 or 18 or else it’d be made auto-friends only because of site policy. Maybe someone at NBC saw that commandment and just assumed too much.

They could put her in a potato sack dress and her body would still say “do me.”

I was kinda surprised if she’s supposed to be 15 AED let her tell Zach, “just wait for me in my room.” As Claire-dad I’d be all “uh, no. Try the living room.”

I personally thought she was cutest in that turtleneck that she absolutely RUINED by jumping off that construction thing.

How does she explain all the ripped up stuff, anyhow?

He was on what, Grosse Point? I haven’t even heard of that. Heroes is popular so he has a real risk of being typecast.

For what we’ve actually seen his sexuality has never been determined. It’s actually silly to say he was inned because he was never really out, Myspace profiles aside. If he was dating a guy last season then suddenly told Claire “Hey I found out cocks aren’t cool, let’s do it!”, then we’d have a reason to be angry.

Yeah, until the very special episode.

All that aside, it’s a good thing the invisible guy’s clothing is part of the genome project too, or else he’d be walking around naked. All the stuff he collects like wallets also dissapears.

You know, I was going to say this was silly, because everybody else’s clothing is affected by or protected from their powers–Hiro’s stuff travels in time, Nathan’s clothes didn’t get torn off while he was breaking the sound barrier–but then I realized that Claire’s clothing isn’t protected when she gets beaten up. Plus, there are numerous examples in comics and movies of people with the ability to go invisible whose clothing doesn’t turn invisible–Sue Storm, the Invisible Man, the Invisible Kid from Mystery Men…

For whoever was creeped out by seeing the tops of Claire’s boobs: you were okay with her collarbone peeking out of her chest, but not her actual chest? And okay with her getting variously beaten up from time to time?

He is not actually invisible, you just can’t see him. His power clouds your mind so it seems like he is invisible. Of course his clothing would be affected. Or something like that.

Sue Storm’s street clothes don’t turn invisible but her costume does. In comics, she can also make things turn invisible. Is this really a deal-breaker for you?

DL’s clothes phase with him. Invisible Guy’s clothes turn invisible too. Nathan’s britches stay on. Claire’s clothes take damage. Isaac can’t keep a shirt on. Mohinder wears really Queer Eye scarves.

It’s really not a big deal for me. Well, that’s not true. Mohinder’s scarf really bugged me.

On preview, I agree with Loach about Invisi-Brit. He’s not invisible, it’s just that for some reason you’re incapable of noticing or observing him.

I wonder if his pigeons could see him?

I noticed that, too. That struck a real wrong note for me. I don’t think a 15 year old girl’s dad would be sending any boy up to her room even if he was gay.

I liked Mohinder’s scarf. :frowning:

Maybe it’s a Brit thing…

It was an adorable scarf. I love the color. It was just… I dunno. Too much. I’ve loved all his clothes so far but now it seems like Carson Kressley had his way with his wardrobe.

While watching the NBC shows last night, it hit me like a ton of bricks who Claire’s father is. It is almost too obvious from the “next week on” promo that has been running every commercial break on NBC shows. It’s the same promo that aired after Monday’s episode, but it seems so obvious now that I’m going to spoiler it:

Hm. That’s an interesting thought, but I’m still not convinced. The guy in the preview was shown wearing a dress shirt, in an office setting. Sylar is currently on the run. I’m still betting it’s Nathan. Although I’d actually prefer it to be Sylar. That would be awesome.

Obviously it could still be anyone, but I’m feeling fairly confident. (This spoiler contains a Sixth Sense spoiler.)

My vocal dislike for spoiler boxes on the boards is an indication of how strongly I believe that I’ve guessed it right, since I would never normally box something that was based on pure conjecture.

Well, I hope you’re right. We’ll see in a few days.

Did someone official say Claire’s dad was going to be someone we already know on the show? Or just someone “we won’t believe?” Shock, shock.

I’m still voting for Linderman.

WRT our invisible posters; no way. Claire’s “dad” got a phone call from mom and the person who took the call appeared pretty comfortable judging from what we saw of his arm. You-know-who is a bit indisposed at the moment.

But it would be a fun twist.

Nathan is a cheater - he had lots ‘o’ sex on video with Niki/Jessica.

That was my point as well - he’s not in a position to be receiving phone calls. Although it’s very possible that the two scenes (Meredith talking on the phone and the shot of the man’s arm) may have nothing to do with each other. They like to screw with us like that, I feel.

In an interview someone official implied that Claire’s father was someone the viewers already knew of. But nothing definite was said, I think.
