Hiro Nakamura. Apparently in the future Hiro has found the right “look”, sword and all.

Unfortuneately, I’m still in the mode of thinking Hiro Protagonist, not Hiro Nakamura when I hear " Hiro ". But then again, they are serving nearly the same purpose (in terms of plot elements, and cheap pun). If Only Da5id and Y.T. can join the fray.
I will anticipate: “Snowcrash” by Neal Stephenson.
I’m glad that NBC has the eps online. I caught the first episode right before the second one, due to the online feature. I had to study the first monday. I chose Studying over Heroes? :smack:
Since Claire was found naked I think the Quarterback is not only a rapist but a necrophiliac rapist at that. Maybe Claire should repay the favor by using a tree branch on him if he doesn’t survive the accident … heck, she should do it if he does survive.
*Paramedics: “I think this guy was thrown from the car on impact and landed in a tree, he’s got a branch shoved up his …”

Re: Chandra Suresh, the book shown in this episode looked like a different guy or at least a guy in a turban when he wasn’t in a turban before. Heh.
I wonder if Peter P. can now stop time and teleport like Hiro since he was around him for a few minutes?
The whole autopsy with Claire makes no sense. She’s at a keg party in the woods somewhere at night. Then she’s on an autopsy table that same evening after being found naked. Why was she a Jane Doe? Surely someone from the party recognized her or was she so far away from the party that the cops didn’t know she was there? Then on the same night she sneaks out of the coroner’s room and walks home. That’s one hell of a night for a one horse town in Texas.
Who threw our boys out of the casino?
What was the reasoning behind Niki doppelbanging Capt. Congress? Can’t see how this is helping her situation.
Anyone notice how non heroic our Heroes are this week?
Hiro aiding in cheating…
Dopplebanger helping in… cheating
The Flying candidate… cheating.
Nurse cheating with the clarvoyantjunkie’s girlfriend
The Cheerleader Speeding and running a red light to boot!! Oh and she looks like she is (possibly) killing her wonderful daterape boyfriend Of course we have the
Junkie who is… well not answering the phone or the door darn it
The Cop didn’t have much air time and didn’t do much so he gets a pass. Ok he did try to peep into evildad’s noggin.
Am I missing anything aside from the surprise cameo by Daddy Suresh’s remains (And a fine performance it was I tells ya!)
As the coroner exposed to us, Claire’s body was found dumped in a river, presumably quite far from the party. Remember, Mr. Rapist-Guy already had her alone and away from the party before she died. That’s why the Other Cheerleader wanted to know what happened after Claire left with the doofus.
The coroner said she was fished out of the river, so I guess we are to assume Quarterback rapist stripped her and threw her in the river. Perhaps stripping her to make it harder for her to be identified quickly due to the cheerleader uniform?
I didn’t get that either, unless Bad Niki knows that if she didn’t do what Linderman wanted, things would get worse for Good Niki and her son. I don’t have a clue.
But we know that Petrelli gets elected in at least one future, so maybe something happens to the photo (and the video) and they don’t use it.
That one’s a holdover from last week. We don’t know exactly what the glyph means but it appears on the cover of Dr Suresh’s book so it’s most likely a stylized DNA fragment.
Hey, maybe Chandra had the power to make himself look different in book jacket photos! That’d be…useful…
Presumably yes, although his ability to mimic powers seems to be very temporary.
A wizard did it.
I’m assuming casino security, because they were winning too much and it seemed shady.
Linderman’s Japanese assistant lady (didn’t catch the name) offered to erase Niki’s debt if she compromised Captain Congress. CC was there for a “campaign contribution” of $2,000,000 which I’m pretty sure would be illegal, but Linderman decided owning him outright would be preferable. Niki refused to do it but Doppelbanger, for reasons known only to him- her- them-self/ves so far, doppelbanged him. So, presumably, Linderman will live up to his side of the deal and Niki’s off the hook.
Speaking of Niki and hooking, how creepy is it that her kid knows she’s an internet ho?
She was broken up with the prognistipainter so I don’t think that counts.
IIRC the Q-R ran off after the Cheerbleeder impaled herself on the wood (heh, impaled herself on the wood). So I have a feeling that someone else found her, stripped her (maybe did nasty things to her) and dumped her.
I still think that maybe the Q-R is super. I think he might be revealed to have super-strength, based on his ability to kill Clare twice relatively easily. I think there’s a chance he’ll be recruited by Evil Dad and that the prognostipainting of Clare being menaced by a shadowy figure in the stadium will be him menacing her. I give that maybe a 10% chance but if I turn out to be right then I wanted to be sure to post it now so I can be smug later.
Okay, if Niki’s reflection is actually her husband as speculated, then how creepy is it that the husband slept with the Flying Congressman?
Also, it seems EvilDad seems to know who most/all of the supers are, yet he didn’t want to take both of them when he showed up in the Congressman’s hotel room. I wonder what’s up with that?
Not at all. The Flying Congressional Candidate picked up a stranger; interesting things can happen when you nail people you don’t know. And Niki even said she wouldn’t have been as upset if her husband had left her for a man rather than as a result of his life of crime.
Maybe BadDad wants to wait until the Congressman gets elected, then blackmail him by threatening to reveal his superpowers or something. Why he didn’t do anything to The Clonus Whore is still a mystery.
Best ending I’ve seen on TV in a long time. This and Battlestar Galactica are the only two shows I have to watch each week. Can’t let them just sit on the DVR.
Either Niki’s husband is at least bisexual, or it’s not her husband inside her. I’m gonna guess it’s just Niki I and Niki II in there. When she put her heel to the thug’s head and warned him not to threaten her son, she didn’t seem too concerned about being threatened. But then she went and slept with the congressman anyway. Why would she… oh waitaminute. I’d sleep with him in a heartbeat too. For free even!
Telepa-cop didn’t get much screen time. Too bad. But at least we know his powers are growing faster than EvilDad thought. Maybe he’ll leave the mysterious power-dampening guy believing he’s a little girl and have Jean braid his hair.
I guessed completely wrong about Claire and the autopsy. But who stripped her naked and dumped her in a river? I thought Quarter-Rapist ran off?
Have to agree with kingpengvin, our heroes were behaving badly this week. But c’mon, if you had powers could you resist abusing them a bit before you decide you need to obey all that super hero morality bunk?
At least Hiro and Anders learned their lesson this week. No cheating at the casinos! Last week people were saying “Hiro’s too powerful!” I just had to laugh out loud when Anders was all, “my friend is powerful! He’ll kick all your asses!” ::
That was a fantastic ending. At first I thought it was Sylar coming for brains and maybe Nurse Boy would steal his powers and they’d narrowly escape. But cool Hiro (he got his costume!) coming from the future was so much better. At least now we know he doesn’t die by mid-season.
Doppelbanger doppelbanged Captain Congress because Doppelbanger enjoys doppelbanging. Captain Congress went along with it, because hey, who doesn’t like a good doppelbanging? Even with the cameras in the room, it’s hard to turn down a free doppelbang. (I just like to type the word “doppelbang”)
I have a sneaking suspicion that the reason saving cheerbleeder will save the world isn’t because of cheerbleeder’s invulnerability… it’s because of her Super Cheer Powers! Go go good guys! Yaaaaay!
Really enjoyed watching Isaiah’s creating vision. It seemed to me that he neither sees nor hears anything during his painting and obviously doesn’t remember the process at all, hence assuming he was doped up at the time. I think our discovering that he isn’t doped up all the time, or possibly at all, will make him more sympathetic to the audience.
Trying to remember what evil dad said to Matt at the very end. Something about him not having to worry about it after a couple of more days. I got the feeling that when they were thru with their tests they planned to kill him. Did any of you get that impression?
Why the sudden change in Mohinder’s attitude? One minute he’s all indignant and angry about Dad’s death and sets off to prove him right, then braving bodyguards to warn CC about Shylar and the next he’s all nonchalant about Peter’s disclosure and seems ready to forget the whole thing. That sure was a quick turnaround.
Curious, why would Cheerleader need saving? She’s indestructable, right?
I think there was a line about getting all they could from telecop and then wiping him clean. I believe his brainy go bye bye. This could be interesting if they went after the Doppleskanker. Who knows what they might release if they go mucking in her mind.
So far as we know, Cheerbleeder is indestructable. She can be shut off though as evidenced when the tree branch went through her paper mache and balsa wood skull. She needs to be relatively intact to heal properly. Who knows what would happen if Evildad goes alien autopsy on her ass.
She said “threaten our son”. So maybe dad’s inside, or evil Niki, but the mirror has nothing to do with it as a portal or anything, it’s all inside her.
