Did anyone else have a problem with the flat-out stupidest part of the episode – namely where Claire finds about 500 heavy rocks in an otherwise empty field with which to spell out a giant “Sorry” (complete with exclamation point) for fly-boy to see as he flies by? Lame doesn’y begin to describe that particular scene.
I meant the first time, when she got captured by the Nightmare Man, which I realize now is not what Menocchio was talking about, he was talking about the cereal command. I got confused because I mistook a general discussion about Parkman being evil with his so-called evil manifested just in that ep. The cereal thing… well, he was testing out his powers on her. Kinda creepy. Not a big deal, though, and I agree, not proof of evil.
I meant the first time he pushed her (not literally, just with parental pressure), when she got captured by the Nightmare Man, which I realize now is not what Menocchio was talking about, he was talking about the cereal command. According to Greg Beeman’s blog, the parking lot is in the San Pedro area. If it’s the one I’m thinking of, there’s an unauthorized nude beach on the other side of the rock outcropping.
Erm, it’s the West-and-Claire storyline. Expecting us to pick out only one stupidest part is kind of a bit much, eh?
(although West improved a bit this episode)
Ooh, “unauthorized nude” – I quite like that. Sort-of implies that there is “authorized nude”. And, hence, someone who is responsible for authorizing it.
Once again, I am struck by the realization that I chose the wrong career path in life.
Heh, it is a gorgeous parking lot. I did catch that the hotel they were at is in Santa Monica.
no because than you’d have to look at the people you DONT authorize most of the day, not the people who ARE authorized who actually end up on the beach. You actually want to be the sunscreen bitch for that beach.
Sorry, just catching up on NBC.com
Best episode so far. I wonder if Parkman really forced the information out of Angela. They certainly make us think that, but it’s possible that he reasoned with her and got her to voluntarily give up the name. It would be a good setup for the viewers, now we’re somewhat inclined to view everything Parkman does in a negative light but it might not be so.
When we saw Bob drawing Claire’s blood I knew what was going to happen, but it was still good storytelling. They handled it well. If Noah really does have his vision “fixed” by blood based LASIKs he’ll no longer need his horn rimmed glassed. Since that has been his identifying item, perhaps it signals a change in his character – the death of HRG and the rebirth of a less morally ambiguous character?
I loved both Hiro’s pushing up their glasses at the same time. I’m finding Bob to be a very interesting character, something I didn’t expect.
