Heroes 11/27 - "Six Months Ago" (spoilers)

Bam! We have a winner! That’s got to be how it happened.

Except… perhaps they wouldn’t have a memorial to Charlie so soon after the murder, plus the photograph from her birthday changed after Hiro travelled back.

Good episode. I just wish they had said a little more about Mr. Bennett. It seemed he already knew about people with “special abilities” since Silent Black Guy was already hanging around. Also, how did Papa Suresh know the names of the Heroes? Sure, the computer program had a listing of the names, but how did he actually get the names?

Oh well, guess all will be revealed… eventually.

He’s dyslexic.

No it means he is Dyslexic. Yep 6 months ago supposedly shows some of the characters “After school special” flaws and problems. He’s Dyslexic. The brothers have a daddy complex. Clair is having trouble trying to be popular (Let’s face it her entire story line is the angsty teen story so this isn’t naything different) while not only is Niki a recovering alcoholic but she has an abusive alcoholic father.

The bits I liked were the Sylar thing… except his creepy vibe was on high from teh first moment he was met. (Was Anyone surprised the watch repair guy was Sylar ?) And the Hiro story worked.

The writers finally decided that Hiro is too powerful a character so they let us know he can not effect the past (except when needed like dropping back in time to give cryptic clues or going into the future to bring back information to change that future but aside from that he can’t change anything)

Better than last week’s but there seems to be a tendency to keep slowing the plot with padding.

If Tim, the radioactive guy, counts as a Hero, I think he’ll be the one to buy it next week. Sylar absorbs his power, thus Sylar is the source of the doomsday bomb in NYC, keeping with the arc of Sylar being the main threat.

Also, Isaac seems fairly expendable. I wish it were Niki/Jessica though. I find that story to be by far the least engaging.

Yas tahw?

who is “Tim, the radioactive guy”?
and why are we still labeling Mr Bennet as evil? hasn’t he shown all he wants is to protect his daughter? that may be a selfish motive that has bad consequences, but he’s not intentionally evil

It’s Ted, the Radioactive Guy. Does that help?

Well, he may not be intentionally evil, but he’s still been kidnapping people and quite probably experimenting on them and most certainly wiping their memories–whatever his ends, the means are a little shady.

er, nope. I cannot picture which character is Ted Sprague -
I have a [del]bunnie[/del] theory about why protoEden’s powers didn’t work on Mr B - because of his (haitian?) friend who can block powers (was that already suggested?) But my, how easliy (from last week’s) was Sylar taken down. And now that he’s in Mr B’s custody, how can he cause the explosion in NY “Save the cheerleader, save the world” Claire’s been saved and Sylar’s incapacitated - mission accomplished. Now what?

Then why take off the top of their heads and do something with the brains?? :dubious:

Though I did like it when he looked at the first guy and said “You’re broken!”

And just because I liked her, I’d prefer it if Charlie didn’t die at Sylar’s hands. :frowning:

On the hiro story… Charlie was still in good health, and seemingly happy when Hiro first met… she was then killed by sylar… my bet in the alternate timeline is that when Hiro went to kiss her (and time ripped him away) that she ‘gave up’ (as she mentioned that she was about to do until hiro met her in the past)… this would mean that she died of natural causes and allow for the memorial to be set up… the question is, what affect (if any) did that change have to Sylar’s timeline?

Haven’t these folks ever watched a horror movie? You never* profess your love for each other if trying to save one or the other… its an automatic death sentence…

Glad they put in affect the “No Do-Over” rule.

I don’t understand what this is referring to. What did we learn about that?
It’s too bad about Charlie. I liked her. She (the actress) seemed to pull off genuinely happy/kind without seeming fake. Would’ve made a nice girlfriend for Hiro.

Did they spend weeks together? It’s ambiguous from the way it was filmed, but I guess they must’ve had some time to get to know each other.

When Hiro took the bus back - did he have to fly all the way out from Japan again, or what?

What exactly is Sylar doing? If he’s some sort of permanent power vampire, how did he just happen to figure it out? “Let’s just bludgeon this guy to death and see what happens”? What a lucky guess :stuck_out_tongue:

I was thinking it was radioactive guy but now I’m not so sure. Ando makes sense to me because Hiro is dependent on him. If he dies, Hiro has to man up to become Super Hiro.

You must have missed the episode with the radioactive guy, then. When his powers turned on, his house plants died and his wife got cancer from the radiation. He becomes highly radioactive when he gets upset, and he sets things on fire. Telecop and the blond detective captured him (after he incinerated his wife’s doctor) and interviewed him but he escaped. One theory is that he’s the source of the future disaster in New York.

I really liked last night’s episode. I’ve seen them all except the pilot so I thought a lot of that stuff had already been explained. There is a marathon of episodes on Sci-Fi tomorrow, starting with the pilot at 5:00 pm central time, so I will catch it then.

I think the Haitian is going to buy it next week. Sylar can not stay locked up for long and killing the Haitian would be the way he does it.

I think they were clearly showing that the Haitian was blocking Eden’s don’t mention the ears power. He did it through a one way mirror so Elephan… I mean Eden thought AED was immune to her power. That’s why she doesn’t try to use it when he asks her to do something she doesn’t like.

The time travel thing doesn’t work. Charlie didn’t pretend to not know Hiro. In the new timeline Hiro was working there as a busboy. Everyone at the dinner would know who he was. If the cosmos snapped him back to reality the picture shouldn’t exist any more.

That’s why he’s ambiguously evil dad.

Saving the cheerleader was important because Sylar would have become indestructible if he ate her brain. Or whatever he does with them.

I think it was pretty clear that he lost control and bounced.

I thought the same thing. Well not exactly but when she mentioned a problem with her brain I thought there had to be a reason for it. Otherwise why not give her cancer or something else.

Sylar can not sense other supers, at least not until he starts working on them. Remember he didn’t know he had the wrong cheerleader. He didn’t know to go after Hiro because he didn’t expect him there. Sylar had access to Papa Suresh’s big board from his war room. That’s how he is tracking down the supers. He knew Charlie would be in the diner. Hiro was listed as living in Japan. Eden went back to get Claire’s name off the board but it was already hidden away.
