Heroes 11/6 "Nothing to Hide"

Yeah, I’m starting this thread way ahead of time. I just heard an interview with Masi Oka (Hiro) on the radio and wanted to share something. I didn’t want to bump last week’s thread but also didn’t want to start a completely unrelated thread sooo…here we are.

Anyway, while we’ve all speculated as to what Peter Petrelli’s power, and it’s been shown bit by bit to us, Masi confirmed it this morning.

He’s definitely a mimic

Just thought I’d share.

Oh yeah, did anyone else catch him in a cameo of Austin Power’s Goldmember last night? That was hilarious!

Now…11 hours 40 minutes 37 seconds and counting…

For anyone who’s interested (read: can’t wait 11 1/2 hours), Yahoo TV has a few clips from tonight’s episode. One of the clips suggests a “lead” on Sylar.

yeah, and the TV Guide lets us in on a question from last week:

Nothing to Hide
Distraught Niki reveals her recent personal struggles to a friend; Matt assists Audrey’s investigation into a bizarre murder; Hiro questions his heroism; Nathan and his wife strategize to win the congressional election.

It is nice to know I’m not the only anticipatory dork. (Is it considered name calling if I include myself in the fray?)

I’m doing my best to convince my friends to watch it. I’ve even resorted to nagging. 4:52 until I get an hour of relief from a week of wanting…

Personally, I prefer “fangirl geek” to “dork,” but either one works.

Last I saw Telecop he was freaking out in a convenience store, holding a gun and being mistaken for a robber. This ep starts with him back at home. Anything happen in between?

OMG, the product placement is SO blatant. It’s hillarious.

‘Same car! Nissan Versa!’

Note to writers: do not have the possibly gay character suggest anal probing an underage boy on national television.

That is all.

Except…Jessica? I’m kind of disappointed.

Ah, dammit, the kid’s a technopath! I hate that!

So that’s how he fixed the motherboard!

Loved the first hints of heroes working together (or possibly a Hero- Hiro- and a villain).
I’m surprised they showed the little annoying kid’s power so early on. I was sure they’d save that for some big revelation later on. Normally, I’d fear the show would run out of steam too early, but this just makes me think the writers have got so many bigger and better things plan they can afford to reveal this sort of thing (relatively) early on.
Most of all: Thank whoever cut Milo’s dman dangly bang.

I was wondering. I was thinking that Micah put the “Out Of Order” sign on the phone before hand, so he could have that as an out when the dad came. “Just playing”…

Well, ikkN died… or at least that name did. We know what to call her now.

Best part:

I’m gonna put it on YouTube, and make a million bucks!

Youtube is free you retard!

Otherwise very slow night.

I thought radiation guy was interesting.

Meeko Note that the phone stops working as soon as dad picks it up. It goes to static. The kids has technopowers. Possibly he can repair biological systems as well.

I guess Micah’s known about his Mom’s “powers” for quite some time, in addition to hiding his own. Interesting how doppleganger + phaser turned out to = technopath. So what about Peter and Nathan? Does that mean their parents have superpowers as well?

Couple of things I’ve noticed.

Was it Radioactive Man and the telecop that had the beginnings of the tatoo on their backs, or just the cop? The cut on that scene left me somewhat confused.

I’ve noticed some similarities between some of the heroes and a couple of J. Michael Straczynski characters from his books. Doppleskanker is pretty similar to the character of Critical Maas from his Rising Stars series (split personality where good half has no powers and bad half has powers), and Radioactive Man is similar to the radioactive character (radiation powers beyond his control killing family)from his Squadron Supreme series. Does anyone know if these are purposeful nods or coincidence.

Lastly, how long before Captain Congressman takes his wife for a Lois Lane style flight around New York.

I thought of Nuke right away but assumed it was a coincidence.

I don’t think it was a tatoo. I assumed the marks were scars or something - a remnant from being probed by Evil(?)Dad.

Hey, I was right about Nathan’s wife having some sort of disability. Although, it doesn’t look like they have any “agreement” about him satisfying his needs elsewhere.

By the way, Nathan’s a bit of a jerk.

My stupid cable went out for about 10 minutes during the show. I saw up till Peter sat down for brunch with Nathan and his family and the cop and FBI agent leaving the radioactive room. I then pick up where Jessica tells Niki’s friend that Niki doesn’t need her anymore. Can someone please outline what happened in between?
