Heroes 2/19 - "Unexpected" (SPOILERS)

You have to know where they are to get close enough to block them.

His powers could be visual in that he has to see the target. All the times that I can remember him using his powers, he was eyeballing the target pretty hard.

So how did Hiro make the bullet travel in reverse? It wasn’t time reversing, it was telekinesis doing that.

Has Ando got telekinesis?

Well, AED can’t see invisible people and maybe Haitian can’t block the powers of people he can’t get a good look at either. It seems to take some concentration. OTOH, he can block Telepa-Matt pretty much all the time by giving off an interference field which I guess is always on. That interference field ought to work on others’ powers but I guess it doesn’t.

Or Haitian deliberately pulls it back sometimes, occasionally thwarting AED. Speaking of that, is Haitian in big trouble with AED now? He knows he didn’t mind wipe Claire, right?

Hopefully, Bennett will assume that Claire’s ability makes her resistant to whatever the Haitian can co.

No, it was a localized time-reversal around Hope–or around Hiro, Ando, & Hope, but not the other guy–which is a new variation. And I’m not sure Hiro even realizes he did it.

Well, we now know that the Haitian’s power bruises the brain. If he’s breaking cell connections, it’s not unreasonable that Claire could reestablish them. After all, girl survived a house fire.

After what happened with Mrs B, I have a feeling Mr B would be too glad that Claire didn’t get damaged by mindwiping to be very upset she wasn’t mindwiped to begin with.

But time didn’t reverse as though she had never shot the gun (there was no inverse explosion), the bullet stopped and went back into the gun with force, causing a ‘clink’ and Hope to reel with the impact.

Also, I thought Hope killed the other guy before coming to kill Hiro and Ando, but after Hiro did his thing, the other guy was alive again and tackled Hope.

I can’t figure out exactly what Hiro did there.

I always thought he was just kind of perverted.

And, if I were a betting man, which I am, I’d confidently bet on Big Bald Perverted Black Dude’s powers being entirely mental, owning the mind reader and the Jedi Mind trick lady, and being able to clear minds. That’s it.

But that doesn’t explain why he’d tear off after Sylar, unless he’s also a suicidal idiot. It also doesn’t explain why Sylar would run. I don’t think Sylar’s afraid of Bennet. He is afraid of Bennet & Haitian.

As for Peter’s scar - I think it’s perfectly obvious that at some point in their climactic battle, Sylar’s going to try and take Peter apart and see what makes him tick. Peter will be able to heal himself, but not that scar where Sylar tried to um, clean his clock. :smack:

I hope I’m wrong - I hate it when I predict things.

(Plus, it’s SOOOO Harry Potter.)

Good point.

The gasses released with the bullet visibly reversed and went back into the gun. I remember Hope being suprised rather than reeling.

I just watched that part again. It’s in the second half of Part 4 of the episode on the NBC Heroes site, if anyone else wants to check it out.

The bullet and it’s firey gasses went back into the gun. Hope’s hand was thrown back and to the side, then Dauber tackled her. She looked very surprised in the split second between her hand going to the side and when she went down.

Ando asked Hiro, “Did your power work? I had my eyes closed.” Hiro said, “Me, too. Her gun must have misfired.” So I don’t think Hiro even knows what his ability did right there. But it wasn’t what he’s done in the past.

One other thing: Nathan told Simone he had people looking for Peter. “People I can trust.” I think he asked Linderman to help him, and that Linderman is sending Jessica not to kill Nathan, but to help find Peter. Don’t exactly know why he’d send his superstrong hitwoman on such a task, but Linderman’s inscrutable like that.

Maybe he just thinks it would be good to get her out of Vegas for a while after the job she just did in LA. If Jessica isn’t in the same city as Linderman, there’s less chance of anyone making a connection between them.

I disagree. The impression I got was Hiro recognized instantly what he did (and was doing), and decided then and there that it was time to lose Sidekick. That’s why he told Ando his powers didn’t work and the gun misfired–he didn’t want to complicate things and wanted to get Ando out of there ASAP (I’m glad, because I figured Ando was going to be expendable buddy guy…you know, a Goose to Hiro’s Maverick).

And FTR, I’m still pissed they killed off Super Hearing Gal. She was WAY more interesting to me than WiFi chick.

Grumble.

But WiFi chick is WAY more hotter to me.

He seemed to me like he was discomfited by Sylar, but since he doesn’t know any reason not to trust him, he’s just telling himself it’s nothing. As I recall, he was kind of hesitant when Sylar was all, “Hey, I’ll go with you!” and he’s looked a couple times like he thought Sylar was acting weird.

You win the thread sir.

Watching last night’s ep online tonight.

First WTF moment: Ando and Hope’s first scene: since when are there streets like that in Primm, NV?
