Last week: Sylar broke Hiro’s sword and his mother’s heart. OK, well not so much broke her heart as stabbed it.
This week: stuff happens! Let’s watch!
Comment about previews of future episodes: it has been requested that information derived from them be spoiler boxed. Personally I think if it’s been broadcast it’s fair game, but the request has been made.
Question was asked last week whether this is a 2-hour finale or not. Best as I can tell, the answer is ‘not’. This means too much TV next Monday, as 24 will likely be a two-hour finale.
I could’ve sworn that one of the promos a while back referred to a two-hour finale for “Heroes,” but apparently there’s this week’s regular-length episode and another regular-length episode next week. According to TitanTV, this week’s show is 61 minutes, next week it’s 62 minutes.
Oooh, I’m so excited! But part of me is dreading the finale because then I’ll have to wait so long for the next one. Maybe they’ll get the DVD out quick so I have something to obsess about over the summer.
First, it gets broadcast on the East Coast (say) many hours before it gets shown on the West Coast; so just because it’s been broadcast doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be spoiler-protected. Second, many people (myself included) don’t watch when it’s broadcast, we TiVo it to watch later. And third, most TV shows often get broadcast outside the US many months later.
Basically, just because something it broadcast or published or released doesn’t mean we can avoid spoilers.
I don’t understand what you’re getting at. It seems to be common practice around here for the East Coasters to fire away, and we West Coasters just don’t look if we don’t want to see spoilers.
Poor Hiro. How many more times must his ideals be shattered?
To expand upon what John said, it’s up to the individual to be aware of the fact that a thread on an episode of a TV show is going to discuss what happened during the broadcast of that TV show. If someone chooses to read the thread before they watch the show, whether it be delayed by three hours for the West Coast or three months for the overseas crowd, then it’s on them if they’re spoiled. There are weekly threads on the third season of Doctor Who. I can’t see the shows until sometime later this year, so I don’t read the threads.
