He was referring to Claire herself. I don’t remember the exact wording, but he was basically saying that Claire should be in charge of her own life now, and that she should be the authority when it came to decisions about her life.
I don’t think so. Remember, AED told Hatian to “go deep” on him, which is the same instruction he gave when Hatian completely erased Jock McRapist way back when.
Take *that *Lost! We got some answers here.
The Company isn’t just a watchdog outfit, they really are quite evil. I don’t know why they’re playing catch and release, but I suppose it’s just that they let guys they can’t use go, and co-opt or dissect ones they can. We still don’t know exactly who they’re working for.
He said similar things about psychic cop, and he just forgot his abduction.
Be sure to send the Haitian over to Union Wells HS and vaporize every trace of Claire from school records, everyone’s memories, the yearbooks lying under the beds of every teenager in town… Maybe he’ll just be able to wipe out the memory that Claire is a genetic first aid kit and plant the memory that 1) the Haitian kidnapped her or 2) she just ran away. A possible 3) she croaked saving Daddy’s life in the never-to-be-explained house fire at Casa Bennett.
Hey, is there a way to see just next week’s preview on nbc.com?
He said “go deep, remove anything that might lead them to her”, nothing about forgetting her completely only the incriminating stuff and anything that would lead them to her.
Off topic trivia: Masi Oka (Hiro) used to work at ILM
Brian
Yeah, we haven’t seen the last of no longer-AED if the previews are to be believed.
Heh, just think, Haitian would have had his work cut out for him if he had to make everybody who saw that explosion and Claire walking out of the house forget what happened. It’ll be extremely interesting to see what Claire does next. I suspect she’ll go see her real Mom or maybe even Nathan.
Interesting that Nathan gets a face to face with Linderman; I guess Niki/Jessica was sent out to retrieve him, not kill him.
I love Matt when he’s not doing heinous family life thing. Hopefully The Company or something keeps him away from that for a long while.
As an aside, are there any web links up to the preview for next week’s episode?
Also, noted above, fE-mail completely disappeared from this episode, what the hell?
Man this episode definitely got me full swing back in to Heroes though.
Matt will become a company man because there’s nothing else he can do. The FBI and the LAPD are both burned bridges. Plus, Primatech has him under its control now, and it seems like the type of outfit whose offers one can’t refuse.
Ando was the only character/James Kyson Lee was the only actor who’d been in every episode until tonight. I’m disappointed his streak is broken, although I can’t see a practical way they could have fit him into this storyline.
I hope Claire’s mom remembers things now. Good lord, but she was more annoying than Seasons One and Two Joyce Summers.
Safe to assume Claire’s going to head to New York now and look up Peter Petrelli.
Any guesses how Claude survived the bridge incident? He wasn’t wearing Kevlar unless he also had some squibs, and he couldn’t have known where Mr. Bennet was going to shoot him so both seem unlikely.
Who played Mr. Bennet’s boss? He looks like a young James Coburn.
No, she didn’t. She was the lab tech at the end when they were showing Ted and Matt.
I’m pretty sure that was Eric Roberts.
I’ll buy that, but I don’t think that was what was being implied when he was speaking to AED.
Sheesh, you’re right! He’s not growing old nearly as gracefully as his sister, is he?
Wow. Well, Mr. Sulu clearly is part of the company… but it looks like Linderman isn’t.
The saddest thing was the fact that there’s no way AED is going to remember that goodbye.
The makeup at the end, showing the burns, was good. Very good makeup.
Wow. We got answers. I’m surprised we got out of that without two or three real deaths.
I kinda thought that he was referring to Mr. Bennett’s first partner, the Invisible Man. But I don’t have TiVo and I missed a few minutes during a smoke break, so I can’t be trusted.
Huh? How was Ando in every episode if Hiro wasn’t? I don’t recall any episode that had Ando but not Hiro.
When Hiro accidentally went too far back in time, trying to save Charlie, there were a couple of episodes (maybe just 1) where we didn’t know where he went.
As Claire discovers her powers she finds out that her father is secretly working for a company that is trying to control all mutants. She then has to abandon her family thanks to a great sacrifice from her father.
We finally have a hero with a very comic book like beginning.
Claire’s skin getting torn off by the radiation was a nice touch and the guy who is playing Mr. Bennett is doing an excellent job.
