Hey everyone [New Poster Introduction]

Well, rush chairman is a busy job. It’s understandable that you were probably distracted.

NOnononono, don’t take the ice cream…or let the ice cream take you as that is the more likely result. Hopeful Crow should be along shortly with the squid, please note the exits have been secured for convenience and protection.
Welcome to the Board FollowMeDown, I hope you enjoy yourself here. My only RR connection was my uncle who worked for the Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railroad.

That was Eutychus and he was damn glad to meet you.

So, is the OP shy, or what?

Didn’t anyone warn him* about the second door on the left?

*Assumption

No, not yet! Let him try the handle first!

WELCOME Follow Me Down! I like trains… you can talk train stuff all day and I will hang on every word.

Oh, you and your doors. It’s a good thing my ice cream is soothing.

:smack:

That is all.

So who makes the best feedwater heater; Worthington or Elesco? Dopers everywhere want to know.

Have you ever seen anyone hump in an area where humping was prohibited?
mmm

Why is it that the train passes through right when I’m approaching the tracks? It’s like you’ve got a tracking device on my car or something.

Seriously, welcome. Pull up a chair and make yourself at home. Ignore the second door on the right; it’s just the coat closet.

Nobody ever does.

The third door on the right* is the buffet. Definitely try the calamari: [DEL]she[/DEL] it may be a bit feisty, but it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

*There’s a Monty Python joke in there somewhere.

Hiya, FollowMeDown! Welcome! Welcome! Hey, what’s the plural of caboose? Cabeese, maybe?

Sorry I’m late. I’ve been working with the squid and the squid’s cousin, the cuttlefish. We’re trying to make a kind ofAsian ice cream but I tell you, it’s really tough, mainly because they keep getting into ink fights! It’s supposed to go into the ice cream, not everywhere but! They think it’s all good, clean fun but they’re not the ones who have to scrub the counters, floors, walls, ceiling, bowls, the axillary ice cream machine, me and, well, you get the idea. Would be a dandy recipe if I get them to cooperate, though!

(As an aside, I’ll thank you not to make any wisecracks about 50 Shades of Gray describing the color of my skin and hair.)

By the way, the above linked article describes cuttlefish as cute and cuddly. The writer obviously never saw a cuttlefish when he meets a goat. Cute and cuddly, my sweet inky hiney! Apparently there’s one of those family grudges that goes back generations. I didn’t really get the whole story but I wound up having to temporarily banish the goat from the basement kitchen.

A word to the wise, you might want to stay out of his way for a while. And, above all, if you happen to meet up with him in one of the corridors, don’t mention the state of his hair. He’s really quite vain and cuttlefish ink takes to goat hair like…like…well, I don’t know what but if I’m a little sensitive about my current condition, just multiply that by hundredfold, add in the goat’s normal temperament and you get the idea.
The cuttlefish has to go back home tomorrow so it looks like I’ll just have to quit on this project. Good thing, I guess. I’ve been doing way more refereeing and scrubbing than making and eating ice cream. Maybe I’ll try something tamer next time. I see there’s one made with cactus. They may be prickly but they should cooperate, at least.

I have been around the Cuttlefish of Cthulhu several times (old slave-pit denizen here) and while I have seen it described many ways “cute and cuddly” is not one of them. OK – there was that one reporter from Plato’s Retreat. And a couple from California. But other than them, not so much.

(PS – trust me – do NOT do an image search from work)

So, the wasabi mint ice cream didn’t work out?

Nah. Might try Sriracha though.

Dear Og. I’ll never be able to unsee that.

Challenge Accepted! <looks> G’ahhhh! The soundtrack’s pretty good though!

Hi there, nice to meet you.
